Kjaer and Christensen seem to be their main CBs. The former is their captain and the latter is a very good player. It's therefore easy to see why he hasn't started yet.

Thanks for pointing out what I already mentioned above; i.e. that they're the 2 main CB. However, that doesn't mean he couldn't get a game in say a friendly...
Never mind, if Andersen is signed up I'll trust Pochettino on that one.

I hope you're one of the Spurs chief scours in disguise  Pointing that one out is way more important than discussing potential targets...
It's an interesting observation after a break from SC for almost 3 months: I knew that you and 1-2 would play Sherlock Holmes with every one of my posts. You "guys" must really have missed me, and I am glad to get so much attention simply for counting age a bit differently than the standard way you people learned in school (y)

And of course replying to it is way more important than discussion potential targets (y), no offence but I haven't really paid attention to any of your posts to know who you are.

Generally agree. I think Sissoko has been more like Wanyama in the way he defends, i.e. he gets around the pitch and hunts the ball down. We don't really have anyone else who does the same as Dier and his role was so fundamental to the way we played that we've really missed him. Dier/Sissoko, Dier/Winks and Sissoko/Winks are all good combinations from the available options imo.
Even prior to his illness and injuries he has not been playing in midfield the way he did two years ago. Its not about eating my words, its just my opinion which could be wrong. Dont take it as a disrespect to Dier that I do not rate him as much as you do.

We seriously need to move for this guy, gonna be such a top player.
I’ll be happy if we get him just to lift @freeeki from his state of despair. And my wife maintains we’ve been a fuckugly side since Ginola departed so some more eye candy seems necessary for the ladies and freekis of our community

Difficult to judge based on his performances in the Championship. Yes he scored a very good goal last night but you need to also take into account the quality of the opposition. Rotherham are relegation cannon fodder, had an extra man and yet still couldn’t defend for toffee.

There’s a fair chunk of players in the Championship excelling this season... Gayle scoring for fun for WBA yet was way out of his depth in the EPL, Adams banging them in for Birmingham but has done next to nothing prior to this season and he’s 22... has a potential Janssen written all over him. Then you’ve got Billy Sharpe, 23 goals but he’s 33 and another that flopped in the EPL. Bowen 21 goals yet from what we’ve been told he’s not good enough for us.

I’m not saying there aren’t some impression performers in the Championship but we do need to take into account the level they’re playing at. Huddersfield, Fulham and Cardiff to a large extent were the 3 best teams in the Championship last season yet they’ve been predominantly dog shit in the EPL.

If we’re looking at the Championship then we should be targeting the ‘teens’ who are showing exceptional promise and are young enough to be moulded into better players. Eg James, Aaron’s, Clarke etc.
I hear ya. I have been following Grealish for a while now though and he does have that quality I think

She doesn't rate Gazza and Fernando? ????
Not really, but I’m quite the handsome bastard, albeit one whose time is etching deeper on my face. Shabby, softening in the middle (the Romans called it the ‘thickening’) and rakishly lazy, I suppose my fading looks, tired charm and light wallet hold some sort of universal attraction for women which is only eclipsed by a late 90s Ginola

still holding onto an outside hope that de Ligt doesn't go to Barca and we have a chance.

I’d offer KWP in a deal for Arrons or any good full back if that’s what it took. I feel KWP won’t ever be good enough for first choice and is a good back up at best. To sacrifice him to get a better RB or LB is one I’d make.

Ditch all 3 right backs, sell Trippier and Aurier; loan out KWP, bring in both AWB and Aarons. I’d also do the same with the left backs... arguably keep Rose if he isn’t crocked.

Fellas, he's 22 until he turns 23.

Considering we can't officially sign him until 1st July which is after his 23rd Birthday then perversely it does make sense to talk about signing him as signing a 23 year old.

But he was comparing him to other players his age, and his age is 22...

In China you are one year old at birth, and two years old at the turn of the New Year. He’s 23, possibly 24.

Typically this is one of my favorite threads but after reading the last few pages, even in jest or satire, I'm favoring just tossing it into the sun and committing a fair few of you to an insane asylum.
