Hope Jonathan Davies and Biggar are alright. We might as well pack up and go home if they’re not.

It panned out exactly as I said (like the Fiji Oz game) but I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t worried.

Mate, I start worrying if England lose the toss!

It's a lot easier to be objective looking from the outside, and I still see Wales in the Final.

If Biggar and Jon Davies are ok, maybe. But just looking at that performance if a half decent France turn up we’ll go out at the quarters

Well done to the welsh way closer than I thought it would be.

In other news:

"In a dramatic turn of events as Super Typhoon Hagibis heads straight towards landfall in Tokyo on Saturday, Rugby World Cup has taken the unprecedented step of re-locating England’s final Pool C game against France in Yokohama on Saturday to Oita 600 miles to the south on Kyushu.

It is probable that the game will be played behind closed doors so as to ensure the safety of spectators who might try to travel to the game.

Both teams were informed of the contingency plans on Wednesday and were taking steps to arrange transportation on Thursday.

The decision goes against the original tournament rules whereby any pool game that was to be affected by extreme adverse weather conditions would be cancelled rather than postponed with two points awarded to each side.

However with the final standings in the pool not yet assured organisers were determined to try and maintain the integrity of competition by staging the game."

Whilst it could be argued that England not having to play France would be a benefit to their tournament, I'm not so sure.

Yes it would mean we'd top the group without having to play another match, but to be honest there isn't a lot of difference in playing Wales or Australia (as shown by their match).

The biggest benefit would be rest period and the time for any niggling injuries to heal, as well as the reduction of risk of any further injuries.

But I'd be very worried going into a game against Australia having not really had a testing match in the tournament. Could they potentially be a bit off the pace?

Probably 50/50 in terms of whether it's a good thing or not, but personally I'd like to see England tested before the quarter finals.

Owens should have been a red. Clear red. Honestly, given some of the yellow cards dished out in this comp, it's mindboggling that was only deemed a yellow.

You could hear Garces speaking to the TMO. His reasoning was that because he landed on his back it was a yellow. I’m sure if the landing had been worse he would’ve got a red.

My personal opinion is that there was clearly no intent to do serious harm. As Sam Warburton said he should’ve sat/fell back instead of standing up. But as we saw with the Farrell incident, sometimes it’s hard being a big man tackling a small one just as it’s sometines tricky being a smaller man tackling a big man. And Owens went low.

Having a rest would be a massive plus for england in my opinion.

Well he would say that with his history wouldn't he?

Looking at the various track predictions, the typhoon is due to go within spitting distance of Tokyo on Saturday afternoon, and if their predictions are anything like Atlantic ones, they're pretty accurate 3 days out. It's going to be a category 2 when it gets there which would mean mandatory evacuations in the US. I expect the announcement tomorrow that the game is going to be cancelled.

I've been wrong before but I'd be leaving right now if I was there. You don't mess with cat 2 hurricanes / typhoons.

Definitely. One of the things that made your campaign difficult was that you had 2 tough games just before the knockouts. Argentina wasn’t a test due to the red card and France game is cancelled. You can have a nice rest now.

England France game cancelled, 2 points each and England top the pool and probably play Aussies in QF

Have to fancy Aussies for that now, England haven't been tested at all, the Aussies have had 2 tough games already and are also the best team in world rugby when they are the underdogs

I think it gives England a big advantage tbh. They’ll be fresher and it’s another week gone by without getting any injuries. The fact that England could potentially get to a final and play a game less than everyone else is a joke. And it’s not like that opponent was a tier 2 nation either it’s France.

Suck it up Boyo! I'd have preferred the game to be played, firstly because we lose momentum now and secondly, because it would stop all the inevitable grizzling from the celts. It the unlikely event that we actually won the thing, it would be because of a bloody typhoon, not because we're good at rugby.

If you don’t win it now it will be really embarrassing seeing as world rugby are giving you a massive leg up ?
