The fans have a great part to play in the run in, particularly being the last season in the old stadium. They need to be in full voice from start to finish, get right behind the team and be the 12th player, then see them go hell for leather!
Agreed. Sorry to bring that lot up, but West Ham were a great example last year. I remember watching their final game at Upton Park against Man Utd and the crowd really were a 12th man - every 50/50 was won by West Ham, even 50/50 decisions were given West Ham's way by the ref, presumably influenced by the atmosphere. And they unsurprisingly won again a superior Man Utd team.

We really need to replicate and improve on that, especially in the big games vs Arsenal and Man Utd.

It's OK, they make me sick as well! :p

So, what you're saying is: It's not going to happen ..... and the good lady isn't singing yet! For shame. :p

To be exact: I will watch every round of games hoping we win and it will be the start of a Chelsea implosion...but even at 33 - 1 (on us to win the league) I won't be tempted to take a nibble on that. It's possible, stranger things have happened and I will proppa Keegan love it if it happens. But not at the expense of my wallet ATM (y)

DAMN .... I can't disagree with that, and TBH I feel exactly the same way. They do have a much harder run in that us, but even so!

For the last year and a half we havent managed to take advantage of any slip ups our rivals have given us (at major moments in the season) and this weekend we could change that. A draw for Arsenal/Liverpool on Sat and a win for us would give us a tidy gap (with a much larger GD) and with Arsenal still to play at home, a game I expect to have an incredible atmosphere.

I'm not going to get excited as it's the hope that gets you and inevitably we get let down but this weekend will be a big chance to show we've shaken off that legends tag

except these games - i havent bothered to go back any further as this should be ample evidence, In a number of these the pressure was on us to put pressure on our rivals who often slipped up.

Major moments only seem to be major moments if we lose to some people. Every game is a major moment to me - if you dont win, you're 3 points worse off and you're less likely to be in a position later on in the league to have the major moments you speak of.

Saturday 4th Feb - Arsenal lose, Liverpool lose - we win
Sun 5th Jan - Liverpool / united draw, city lose - we win
Monday 2nd Jan - Liverpool Draw, Arsenal Draw - we win (2 days later vs Chelsea - still the same gameweek) - most major game of the season up to that point.
Sat 3rd Dec - Liverpool lose, Man City draw - we win

I wouldnt just gloss over Burnley away. They've picked up 29 of their 31 points so far at home. That's going to be a tricky fixture. Especially considering it comes the Saturday right after international break and some players might not come back until that Thursday.

I'm not glossing over it, they are pretty damn tough at home. I wouldn't be surprised if we didn't win that at all but I'll still be going into the game thinking we are certainly capable of winning it for sure.

I know it's in part due to postponements because of the FA Cup, but when we go to Burnley they'll have played four away games in a row. They could either be deflated from not picking up many points or massively up for it having not played at home for over a month.

Our run in is a piece of piss. If we can beat Everton and Liverpool lose to Arse. We could be almost there (top 4).

Even the hard games are Arsenal and Man U at home. Which we are capable of winning.

Results from the same 11 games last season:

Everton - (H) - D
Crystal Palace (A) - W
Southampton (H) - L
Burnley/Newcastle (A) - L
Swansea (A) - D
Watford (H) - W
Bournemouth (H) - W
Leicester (A) - D
Arsenal (H) - D
West Ham (A) - L
Man Utd (H) - W
Hull/Aston Villa (A) - W

Total = 19 points = 72 point finish.

I would guess that it will take more than that to finish in the top 4. Don't count your chickens just yet. We have to hope that Poch has got a backup plan to stop our players running out of stream and crumbling in the final few games like they did last season, as we've got two of our top 4 rivals to play in those games...

I would think the emotional side of the last two games at the Lane against the Scum and United will see big, even massive performances. That's a big plus for us.

If we win tomorrow then I don't see Man Utd finishing above us. Their remaining away games are very tough and our goal difference is so superior that I don't see them overhauling that, meaning they would need to make up 8 points on us (and their game in hand is away to Man City).

Tomorrow is a big ask though - need good news about Kane, Vertonghen and Alderweireld.

Such a big game now. A win would put us in a really good position.

I think a Zlatan ban, and one more poor result and Jose will start focusing on the Europa as their route into the CL. To be honest I don't see anyone apart from Roma that they should be worried about.

Every time I watch Liverpool play (which is admittedly only the big games) they look like the best team in the league.

My guess for top 4 at this stage would be Chelsea, us, Man City, and Liverpool.
