My father Jimmy a lifelong Spurs fan of 68 years has just died. He truly loved this football club. Half way through July we found out he had a brain tumour which was cancerous. We did not tell him how bad it was just that they had found a mass on his brain and it was not going to get any better. Although this shocked him the one thing that kept him going was that I told him I would drive him to London from Ireland to go to the first game at the new stadium. He told everyone about this and it really kept him going even though I knew we had no chance but having him cling to that hope was enough for him and me. Everyday going to see him he would ask me to check Spurs Community to see if we had signed any new players that he would able to watch at the new stadium. We will at some stage this season when we can get tickets make that journey for him and watch his and my beloved Tottenham Hotspur. Another Yiddo passes away. R.I.P JIMMY HUGHES. Let's hope the lads can put on a performance for him today and win before we bury him on Monday. COYS
