Do you think Ange was given assurance by Levy that Kane would be staying before he took the job?

No, but I think Ange would have been pretty adamant he will be able to mould the team how he sees fit whilst working under the constraints.

I can't imagine for one moment Ange being unreasonable. This is why we get fucked off, we now have a guy in charge who isn't going to be demanding high-salary players, he will accept players that fit the club's MO.

Yet here we are again, putting the brakes on.

No.

I think Ange will have been told that his future is undecided.

This is the beauty of Ange he's happy to have a plan but also adapt where needed which he's said numerous times.

That being said he will want this resolved quickly which he has also said.

I’m sure levy will push him to his limit of adaptability, see Poch

I honestly think Ange wouldn't have asked for that. He seems to be very level headed and probably approached it with view that be class if he stays and if not we continue and get an alternative.

Poch was adaptable in early days it seemed but again he seemed to reach breaking point
However I would say that Poch took us to the verge of winning the premier League & champions league, I can see why he would push the heiarchy to get there as he was so close.
Shame Levy didn't take the jump with him.

Had written a load of stuff, but in the end couldn’t be arsed to make it all coherent so I’ll just repeat what has been said above that our board are tossers.

Ambitionless, penny-pinching tossers.

This!

I feel exactly the same, its like 'oh, what's the point'. It's not going to change anything, the feeling of being completely unable to do anything about the situation is so depressing. He has stolen my love of the club, the desire to take my son to games, to buy him the shirts and see him wear them with pride, what was once such a big part of our lives, he has taken that all away from me and its soul destroying. Time to remove myself from all things Spurs for my own mental wellbeing

Herc once again alluding to the fact that the way we/Levy operates hasn't changed one iota and as such the sentiment from me remains the same.

GO!

Call me Baldrick, but fire sale 6 duds for average £6m should be enough to get one of the Centre Backs we need (at a minimum) and get a cart load of wages off the payroll. As ever, Levy thinks he is selling in Harrods but buying in Poundland. Faffed around with Villa over Grealish is a prime example. Levy's player trading games do not work in the transfer market now. As Brentford showed with Raya, it's very much a sellers market. If we can't meet the valuations for Tapsoba and VDV, move on and get someone we can afford, quickly, and give Ange a chance.
