Yep.The decision to sack Pochettino when he had clearly hit burnout and had badly misspent our transfer funds in that summer was still probably the right - or at the very least a reasonable - decision.
The subsequent decisions to replace him with managers with a track record for sulking if they’re not buying ready-made players to fit rigid systems, with little or no tactical flexibility, and with a penchant for a tactical approach completely at odds with both what Pochettino had built and what the club has previously stood for, have been a litany of bloody awful decisions from which it will take many years to recover.
If he'd have appointed say Eddie Howe in 2019, I think many would have been bewildered and there's always a chance it would have failed but ultimately we wouldn't have gone down this road.
It also means you can continue apponting similar coaches and recruiting players that fit these types.
