I have no special insight, but I would love relentless aggressive Daniel Levy out chants from the first minute and a mass walkout on 22 minutes (except for those fans travelling from Korea :) ). 22 being the number of years ENIC have owned the club, or maybe even one minute, since one is the number of trophies we have won under Levy. If this happened every game, it may just move the dial.
I started this topic so maybe I should share some thoughts. Dov67 your post is very well thought out, but I think we need to spread this message to all fans in the stadium. We would need to print flyers and hand them out to people attending the games. Once this has been done for a few games in a row then I think the majority the crowd would understand what we are doing. We would need volunteers at each entrance to the ground to hand out the flyers. I am happy to put in some quid to fund the printing of the flyers.

Completely agree re organisation - its not something that can be put together in a few days.

Also more than happy to help to help fund the flyers - would be delighted in fact

What do people think? possible or a silly pipe dream?

I mean, usually, you'd be right but we have to give credit where credit is due here, the article said "according to the Telegraph". The Daily Mail, shithouse that it is, are piggybacking their article.
Even being the Telegraph, I still don't find it credible, not a chance any manager we are genuine interested in would open their mouth to Matt Law. It also says we have a list of candidates, since we are all led to believe we never have a plan, this would mean we would have some semblance of a plan, which is a contradiction to what some of the people think about the Levy.

Since Harry Redknapp is interested in the Job, I recon he and Matt Law were stuck in traffic one day and he managed to catch Harry with his window down and his head stuck out the window and got his opinion about the situation. No other explanation really :)

Really good idea, something needs to be done, we can’t carry on like this as a club, we have to act.

If nothing else continual levy out chants and a 22nd minute walkout would be horrendous PR which Levy would absolutely hate.

Happy to join in. The mug in me is going to turn up to all remaining home games now: not putting them up on exchange (will make the 12 hour round each time). I’ll be there more than happy enough to join in.

With the amount of airtime we’ve had both on Sky sports news and talk shite etc in the UK and worldwide since that Conte interview: this has given us a favour to build the momentum up. We have to start somewhere and I feel with home games to come vs Brighton, Bournemouth, Man Utd, Crystal Palace and Brentford this can be done effectively. Banners, an organised tifo and symbolic walkout or fans turning their backs or chanting in the 22nd minute which marks their 22 year tenure so far. Something can be done articulately and peacefully which sends out a message every home game.

The biggest thing Levy (and the fans) needs to understand is that we will NOT win trophies every single year and we will NOT qualify for the CL every season, no matter what we do, purely because we are in the most competitive league in the world and we aren't owned by a state.

He needs to understand what we are, what we can and can't do. We can't have a win now manager who needs endless backing because we just don't have the resources for that. But what we can do is work smart and use our still impressive resources to consistently be up there competing for CL places, competing for domestic cups and sniffing around title challenges and CL challenges. Make sure we're at the cutting edge of data analytics with recruitment. Work smart. To do that we first need the right Sporting Director who understands Spurs inside out.

If we get the choice of Sporting Director correct and get someone who understands Spurs and what we need in terms of playing style etc, then recruitment etc will become much more consistent which will allow us to constantly build in the right way.

This will make it easier for us to get the managerial choices correct. Once the right manager is in and we're consistently recruiting for a specific playing style, we can then build a competitive team. This team will take a season or two to build but can still darkhorse challenge potentially and could still make CL or win a cup due to our resources. More importantly when that team then peaks, we may be able to win a title or CL.

But what else Levy needs to accept (and the fans too) is that we need to work in cycles of 3-5 years. This peak team I've just mentioned will naturally decline, even if we plan for it and continually bring in younger players to develop and succeed the peak players. There will naturally be dips in form. We may have a season where our performance dips due to being in an inbetween phase after the team peaked and needs to be rebuilt. But we stick with it and it becomes easier to go again because we know exactly who we are, we have a plan in place and we know what kind of football style we have and the players needed to implement that. We will have a clear plan for player profiles when we sign players, no matter who the coach is. We will have a clear pathway for young players to develop and improve because we will always hire coaches who utilise young talents alongside more developed key players we bring in for certain positions.

It really isn't that difficult to do this for a club with our resources. It's exactly what Brighton do except we'd have way more money available to us to implement everything. If a coach doesn't work out, it's then not a big deal because there is a clear plan in place and a consistent vision for the club.

Will we win the league every year? Hell no but I guarantee if we had this kind of approach for a long period we'd consistently win domestic cups and we'd likely bag a PL title or even CL occasionally too!

Be open and transparent with the fans, put this kind of structure in place, know who we are and how we can succeed and a lot of fans will back this kind of vision.

As we are now, we just float from idea to idea with no identity as a club and the way we switch between drastically different types of managers proves this.

Tottenham Hotspur Key Principles
- Attacking football, always be brave, play with flair, always take risks, To Dare Is To Do
- Dominate the opposition, look to keep the ball
- Press and counter press the opposition, play with a high tempo
- Encourage creativity
- Realise the importance of pace and agility in the PL but importantly pace and agility aligned with technical ability and intelligence
- Scout and develop young players (18-24 years old), take potential and realise it. Show players we are the place to become top players
- Develop academy talent and provide opportunities and pathways (including loan plans!)
- Act swiftly in key positions when the team needs strengthening in 1/2 areas
- Realise when players may need to be sold (not good enough or peaked) and act decisively
- Provide a positive environment, where success is craved but development is also encouraged. Only employ people who align with all of our principles including being a positive person with a positive aura! Tottenham Hotspur should feel like a family who are all in it together!

And finally:

- Aim high, always aim to challenge and win every competition we play in
- Believe in our principles and stick to them, even when natural dips occur

If we we put these kind of principles in place, with our resources we will 100% be successful. We might not win like Man City but I truly believe we'd regularly win trophies and compete at the top end of the table.

If Levy did this and stuck with it, he'd get a lot more respect from fans.
Levy needs to go…and be replaced by Nick-TopSpursMan.

Great post.

Great post.

it’s a decent post, really comes down to dare is to do and the principle of it, Levy doesn’t seem to show it on the pitch only off the pitch. Levy talked about ‘’DNA’’ without even a basic understanding of the history of the club. As a club we don’t look like we have any vision other than scrape our way to top 4 for some cash, it’s hollow and empty and it’s made the fans miserable. We need a reset.

I see Levy's pursuit of a new manager has taken the glare away from his own failings yet again, as this thread slips down the page, lets not forget and keep it firmly in our mind.....

Looking for a new managerial victim to pound into dust, all in order to cling on to power a bit longer...

A week after the rant and Conte hasn't been sacked yet and his no.1 choice has gone elsewhere. Levy playing a stormer on the footie side yet again.

I think the fanbase is quite tired of it all. The manager is the only piece that can be moved at the club it appears so it’s the only thing we can get excited about.

Chairman is mediocre, he takes no responsibility and won’t under any circumstances fall on his sword as he doesn’t have the integrity.

Players like Sanchez just not on the level, they stay because we won’t take a hit on them or buy the quality we need to replace.

Manager for us gets paid a fortune but takes entire responsibility in the eyes of the club as the Chairman/board/players wash their hands of their screw ups.

In short Levy is both an owner and the chairman, he needs to sack himself and appoint a chairman with new ideas but his ego won’t let him.

Is there a well written post in this thread that sums up all the failings of Levy and why spurs fans want him out? Got a mate who’s arguing that Levy is great as has taken us from a mid table club to champions league.

I want to explain to him why most spurs fans are anti-levy but am not as eloquent and coherent as some so need some ammunition!

looked through the last few pages and not much directly on that. I guess my feelings are.

- only invests in the team when we are about to fall out of top 4 never when we might win a title or cup. Sacked Jose 5 days before a cup final, never backed Redknapp or Poch when we could maybe win the league. Always gives the impression trophies don’t matter.

- has no football style. Hire boring managers that goes agaisnt the traditions of the club.

- constantly interferes and makes short term decisions that often backfire.

- never seems to communicate and when they do it’s often arrogant like the message back to the trust.

- no connection between board, manager and players in terms building something that is coherent. The squad is always Square pegs round holes.

- ideas are stale, club is run by an accountant and has all the passion of an accountant. It feels dead, a bit like a zombie club that exists for 4th place each season providing little joy or direction.

- Levy has done wonders with the stadium, finances, Extra activities like NFL. He is like Arsene Wenger at the very end, he has a legacy but he is now holding back the club with his ego and out of date methods.

I can’t speak for every fan, but Levy just looks sad, it’s over it’s been over for a while, we need to move on and that means Levy needs to move on.
