Personally, I don't disagree with any of your arguments/excuses, but they are wearing a little thin now. Football is football. Games are played every three days at the top level and you have to adapt. Individuals make mistakes. Conditions are against you.
But if you want to compete at the highest level and win trophies, they can't be reasons/excuses for defeats, certainly not excuses for our points total/away record.
Ultimately, football managers get paid to work well under those conditions and the best managers adapt best. If you can't, you don't last.
Yep. I keep joking about the Euros this summer, but it’s only a half joke really, because plenty of our players will be involved and it will really be just another circumstance that will effect us ( just like other teams) and I can already see it as an excuse for a bad start next season too.
