Just flicking through this thread from 2014 and it sounds very familiar to now. Maybe why Levy hasn't pulled the trigger yet?

What about Pochettino with money to spend?
Would have loved nothing more than Poch turning it around . Have just seen this too many times at too many clubs and it only ends with the manager leaving. Also it’s not as if this has just been this season but this has been going on since January and to be honest further as we really were playing poorly at the beginning of last season and getting away with it.

This season Poch has shown me nothing to prove he knows what to do to affect change. Again regardless of those wanting to leave or the club wanting them to leave we should still have had enough to beat Newcastle, Watford, Brighton, Sheffield Utd or Colchester. His tactics , in game management and substitutions have at times been odd and other times absolutely abysmal.

I love what he has done for us as there have been some great times. However I love Spurs a hell of a lot more than I do Poch.

West Ham have their own problems, their backup keeper is atrocious and Lanzini has just broken his collarbone.

In terms of management ? If your referring to Klopp who has more high level experience plus managed teams with a history in winning. I’m not sure how many finals Klopp lost or how long it took for him to win his first trophy

Well maybe Poch needs to go to a club that has a history of winning things to learn how to get a team over the line then.

Can’t believe there’s still people that want to blame this on our transfer dealings or that our players are suddenly not good enough.

Would Palace or Newcastle win more games with Son or Kane added to there squads? Obviously
Do we have better squads than those teams? Obviously
Yet here we are behind both in the table managed by Roy Hodgson and Steve fucking Bruce.

Honestly just don’t get why Poch has been allowed to keep this rot going

This season Poch has shown hme nothing to prove he knows what to do to affect change.

It goes way beyond this season. This is what I posted in Nov 2017, in response to someone saying Poch’s methods would have a shelf life:

This is what worries me. Toby said himself that 'if we don't have our intensity, then we are ordinary'. We're an effort team, albeit one with some very talented players. But if all that Poch can coach is effort, then we will continue to fall short. At the beginning of the last two seasons I've said that what I wants to see from Poch is some evidence that he can coach a team so that it becomes more than the sum of it's parts. I still don't see much evidence of that. Our finishing position in the table for the last two seasons made that less of a problem for me, but the issue is still there. Other teams, right down to the bottom of the table, have clear tactics in a game, things that they have clearly worked on in training. I see so little of this in our game.

Poch has never shown any great tactical acumen since he’s been here. We and the players deserve more.

I disagree the vibe I got for the latest public board meeting was Levy felt partly responsible and would back Pochettino to the hilt

I am sure that DL would not want it to be perceived that he is anything other than supportive of Poch. Firstly, not to publically undermine the current manager and also perhaps we are still hoping that another team will come in and take him off our hands (before he has to fire him). Also, since that board meeting, we have dropped a further 7 points from a possible 9 - managing to snatch a defeat and two draws from winning positions; granted Liverpool away was always going to be tough, Everton and Sheff Utd should have been 6 points - victories that would have at least left us within reaching distance of top4.

No contest really
yup and i thought this as soon as they played us in his first match they outplayed us with a very poor side and Poch had already had 1.5 years working with our team i think, Klopp did wonders at Dortmund and went toe to toe with Guadiola, Poch has done a great job for us for sure but Klopp is on another level, anyone who beats the we finished above them stick hasn't got a clue, they've improved every year, they've reached what 5 finals we've reached 1, they've got 2nd highest record points total in PL and went head to head with billionaires city, we've not come close to any of this and poch is now getting found out. Klopp has a system and way of playing that is so effective and hard to play against and he's recruited to suit that system, poch is a bit all over the place to be honest, constantly chopping and changing players and systems.

Klopp is WORLD CLASS manager.
Lucas and VAR got us to the CL final not Poch on his own.

what a load of tosh, in Peps 1st season at Bayern Klopp did finish 2nd, but toe-toe and finishing 19pts behind, the 2nd and final season he finished 33pts and in 7th how is that toe to toe

Fucking off the league? By that same measure we fucked off the carabao too. We didnt and arent doing either. We’re just shit and easy to play against. Not like we’re playing much better in CL either. We got shit pumped at home by a poorous Bayern side and bottled it in Greece where we somehow took a lead despite being shit. Red Star are just not good at all. None of this will turn around as long as Poch remains manager.

I'm not suggesting we're throwing it intentionally. I agree, we're just a bit shit ay the moment
