Poch has a problem.
Disgraceful game, no real positives here to see.
He has been strange this year, the CL comments were strange to hear.
Perhaps this is a parting of the ways.
Only my opinion but I think Poch is a busted flush at Spurs.
Club needs a clean sweep out.
A big January he says, how? Players tend not to move unless ridiculous amounts of money are paid and that will not happen. He has orchestrated the contract situation along with Levy, he also is solely responsible for the way we play, his CL comments, the diamond, not to mention not wanting any players offered during the transfer window, not being able to sign players that do not want to come here (DeLit ? De Jong etc) and refusing compromises, as for his book !! What was that all about, has won nothing and thinks he is the best thing ever, perhaps not.
Time to go?

One thing though - whatever happens, I really could do without any more 'we need to respond in the next game' type stuff from the players. I know that it is PR and the club expect them to issue these rallying cries but I think that I can safely say on behalf of the majority of fans that the time for talking is well past.

Decided. Poch has built enough credit for us to say 'we'll give you a shit season, prepare for next year and we'll invest at Xmas and in the summer with that season in mind'. Fans are too fickle. He's done more than anyone with that amount of money to spend had a right to do.Now is the time to back him and accept that this team needs a complete rebuild.
I’d agree but for his comments over the last 9-12 months so negative and non commital, no surprise our form has gone to shit coinsiding with his downturn in mood.

I don’t want his moody non comittal attitude at the club anymore sorry.

Hilarious to think that a new guy comes in and all of a sudden Alderweireld gains 2 yards of pace that he’s lost in the last 12 months, or Ndombele stops being a stone overweight, or Lloris (get well soon skip) stops being a useless ****.

Is it hilarious that Poch is picking those players week-in, week-out when they don't want to be here, are playing badly, or are not fit? We have a big squad of international players and team selection (and results) is the manager's responsibility. Poch repeatedly picking the totally inept Eriksen (and then not subbing him when he is awful) is one of his major mistakes this season.

The solution is to drop the players who don't want to be here (Toby, Verts, Eriksen, Rose, Aurier). Drop the ones who are not fit (Wanyama, Ndomebele - until he loses a stone and can run for 90 mins) or not pulling their weight. Drop the ones who are playing badly (Lloris - not a problem to solve for a while now).

A team like this one should be able to beat teams like Brighton and Newcastle, especially if the players want to be here and are playing for their places:

Gazza
Foyth Dier Sanchez
Sissoko---Winks---Sessegnon
Lo Celso Dele
Kane Son

Subs: Davies, KWP, Lamela, Moura, Ndombele, Parrot,

I agree, very strange he comments that he Hope's to be here in 5 years this week when he is under pressure but when he is being courted by Utd and Madrid never shut the rumours off.

Or Utd just go for Allegri for free, who's stock hasn't plummeted worse than Thomas Cook's and has actually won something ever...
Wouldn’t be my strategy but Levy will see Pochettino as an asset never mind the liability he’d be if he has to pay him off.

Still yet to see a valid reason why Levy is to blame for shit tactics, no motivation, no style, poor fitness and a general inability to beat absolutely anyone

I wrote a big passionate post a couple of weeks ago explaining in detail why I felt Poch could definitely turn this around, why he was different to previous managers who were usually dead men walking by this point, and how with some transfer work in January we could be back and refreshed in the second half of the season, and that he needed the support of the fans and the board to achieve this.

Yeah I was talking shit lads he’s gone.

Spot on mate, it makes no sense and I can guarantee it’s rubbing off on the players.

Spot on. We have the 3rd best squad in the league. Now clearly there are some goings on behind the scenes which we don’t know the full extent of but it’s also down to the manager to mange these situations.

So what team would you put out against Liverpool?

I appreciate and respect your stance. I just can't see how it can play out.

Unless everybody gets behind that idea it just isn't going to work. It means dropping Rose, Aurier, Eriksen, Toby from match day squads as of now and righting off until January at the very earliest.

Then we've got to ship out these players which Levy CANNOT do. He can't do it.

They aren't slagging Poch off, they are passing on what their players are saying is happening/being said. In my case anyway.

People have to remember this isn't something that's just happened it's been building and picking up pace for a long time.

The players are low on confidence and have a lack of belief in what they are being asked to do. This brings doubt on the pitch and it's impossible to play like a coherent team.

Agree. It's so bloody obvious it's untrue. Players not happy with Poch, so don't want to stick around much longer. Also not happy with Poch's system so not playing well.

There's a big difference to 'losing' the dressing room with big puppy dog eyes and driving the players away from you because you've become a dick. All the indications to me were that Poch was simply becoming a bit of a dick. This is a fucking amazing group of players we've got here and we need to keep them.

I'd go out on a limb and say if we got Mourinho, Toby would sign a new deal within a week.

Can allegri speak English?

When Poch first came to our club, he was doing well, although his grasp of English back then, wasn’t good.

Results and team performances have declined since Poch has been more proficient in English.

Maybe, if Allegri comes, we should let him do his post match interviews in Italian. :cautious:

What I dont understand is these problem players are involved constantly.

Why is he giving them the chance to play and thus help their contract negotiations come January?

Dont play them, he would get a lot more grace playing Tanganga, Foyth, Sanchez, KWP, Skipp, Parrott and others.
