The most boring of arguments debated with football fans.
What has money got to do with this?
Because money transcends physical limitations ya silly bastard

I would suggest that the amount of support our fullbacks constantly require doesn't help.4-4-2 Diamond is a standard formation in Italy. Lyon played it last season, so Ndombele knows how to play within it. It normally requires a lot from fullbacks (like wingbacks in 3-5-2), but not from midfielders - they don't need to cover that much space because they're close to almost anybody on the pitch.
It's a formation for controlling the centre and being unpredictable on the wings.
So... what's about our diamond that it requires so much from our midfielders? That they openly say they don't have the fitness to play it?
Either the implementation is wrong, or our fitness levels are just bad.
Did I miss the rumours about Poch losing the backing of the team?
Or have they only materialised since last nights game?
Pay me that much and I will run till I collapse without complaint.

Exactly. Not too mention the fact that players keep getting injured ....repeatedly.The rumours have been have been there for a while, but have been getting louder since the Colchester game. Three of our ITKs have mentioned things in recent weeks.
How would someone collapsing help the team?
If Sissoko, who never stops running, says there's an issue with the demands the system places on the players it would be wise to listen to him.
Watching us last night and of late, that has been my overwhelming impression for some time - that something is badly wrong with our conditioning. The entire team came to a standstill after 30 minutes, and stamina seems to be a real issue, like we just don't have the legs to compete. It has been that way since the beginning of last season, but that I put down to the World Cup etc, but to have it apparently even worse this season is extremely concerning.
I know they like to hold back their peak fitness so it builds up during the season, but it looks like they've got the timing of it badly wrong. Like a boxer who times his camp wrong and is undercooked come the fight. Because it's not one player, it's basically everyone. And I appreciably what MS is saying about the diamond system, but this has happened with many different formations.
The reason we don't press any more to me is simply because the players don't have that kind of energy in their legs.

THANK YOU ??We demand "loyalty" when we're doing well and expect him to tell the best club in the world he's not interested in them but as soon as there's a rough patch he's not good enough and should be sacked.
Anyone calling for him to go is a complete hypocrite if they ever talk about player/manager loyalty again.
Yeah, things are bad. Yeah, Poch is getting it wrong. The players have contributed to the problems. Levy's contributed to the problems. But it feels you've all forgotten the 20+ years of a new manager every season and finishing 10th. As the song says, Poch DOES have that magic about him to bring the best out of a group of players and I'm confident it just needs time to refresh the team, integrate the new signings and settle the team again.
Just wondering if there’s been any murmurings on the other sites. I’m banned from COYS now so can’t check and pass on I’m afraid.
As the normal whore is not doing his job here’s Ali Z from COYS earlier today ‘Just wondering if there’s been any murmurings on the other sites. I’m banned from COYS now so can’t check and pass on I’m afraid.

Last night showed one thing , we still have loads of ability but we ARE not in it together.’
Move them on and bring those who can do it.Mate this is not something new, it's been going on for months. I suppose there is only so many times the players can say it discreetly to the manager, and nothing changes. Then things escalate because they are said in public. I've been posting for quite a while now how some of the players didn't like the set up and the roles they were being asked to do. It's not because of self entitlement, it's because its too demanding/difficult to do the way Poch wants it done.
You can't come out as a manager and say the players are not executing my instructions/following the game plan, when the truth is they are not physically able to do so.
Why he's being this stubborn about this system is beyond me and it's looking increasingly inevitable it will be his downfall.
They are already aged. We need to replace them not make changes in the club for their wishes.Do they all want out of the club, or just away from the manager? I would actually say it's a mixture of both tbh. Imo(slightly educated) the Belgians for instance would be happy to stay.
It depends on Brighton. If he persists with the diamond, more and more people will jump.A day has gone by now. Tempers have been calmed, heads are clearer and more SCers (as compared to 24 hrs ago) are now more willing to give Poch some leeway, provided he realises his mistakes and takes the necessary actions to rectify them.
Let’s start by beating the sh*t out of Brighton and get our season going from strength to strength from now on.
yeah tell that to klopp and pep too.No, thats why Poch shouldn't persist on playing a formation that he doesn't have the personnel to execute.
