Back this fucking man, I have no doubt we'd win trophies if we gave him some proper funds to bring in the players he wants. And that means 4 or 5 of them. Not just one big buy.

Build is the key word for me. Man wants to take this team to the very top.

Not worried about losing players, if we lose him you might as well fuck everything off and go back to trying to enjoy the odd cup run domestically.

Interesting press conference from poch about desire and motivation of the team in that first 30 against Ajax
Straight out said Ajax aren't a better team, they just had more desire.
Brought up Messi's off the ball desire and work rate last night even though he's won everything

I wonder if it is time for a big refresh of players , bringing in one's 24 and under. Perhaps this lot who have been together a very long time now have just lost that eye of the tiger which Ajax young team have.

Maybe no coincidence our pressing and play has gotten more turgid the older the squad gas gotten.

“We’re going to rebuild and it’s going to be painful”

Hmm ?
I know English isn't his first language, but the 'going to rebuild' could be important here.
Not 'I want to rebuild' or 'we need to rebuild'.
Maybe he's been given assurances from baldy.

They had more technical ability as well. And better movement.

I love Poch as much as the next Spurs fan, but it’s not solely about running around like lunatics. You have to actually do something when you get the ball back, and preferably do it quicker than a constipated dinosaur.

I was saying earlier this season that players get tired of hearing the same voice, which is similar. You have to swap some of them round to keep things fresh and I think this is what Poch has been talking about since his being brave comment last summer.

Its a good thing if you ask me, because it means he wants to be here, he wants to see another group of players put together.

I give Poch more praise than anyone when he’a got countless tactical and personel decisions correct but one thing I don’t get is how sometimes he can just get something so clearly obviously wrong.

Last night before the game Hoddle said about the back 3 will turn into a 5-3-2 and will play into Ajax hands as they will be able to overload the midfield and push us back and that is exactly what happened, I could’ve told him that too, ok his hands were a bit tied due to injuries etc but I still think he could’ve found a way to play 4atb.

Then there are other decisions like Eric Dier at DM, everyone else for a few seasons thought it was genius but I thought at the time it was strange and now people are starting to agree that he’s not a good enough CDM. Now he’s playing Foyth at RB over Trippier and KWP, is Foyth really a RB? He doesn’t have much pace and doesn’t cross that well, he could be a ball playing CB or actually he could make a very good CDM but RB, nope can’t see it.

It’s funny on one hand there are now so many versions of spurs that it’s a benefit that we have a plan A B C D E, we are flexible and unpredictable but also is Poch just over complicating things? The best teams have a set formation and way of playing and then they have a plan B when needed. Barcelona have played 4-3-3 for years, city and lpool have played the same formation all season, AC Milan in their successful era played a narrow diamond for 5-6 years, Fergies man.u played 4-4-2 for years etc etc, I think we need a proper sort out this summer and for poch to decide on a way he wants us to play and get players to fit accordingly and unless we have flying wing backs and dynamic CM’s just don’t play 5-3-2 as it doesn’t work with the wrong personnel against possession based 4-2-3-1/4-3-3.

I'd rather see him force Foyth into midfield Thinktank-style than see more of the 3 at the back.

It was absolutely unambiguous wasn't it, I can't help thinking that now we've got the new stadium the sense at the club is that the next step is to address the squad, this summer could actually be eventful.

They were also at full strength and were given a week off before the tie. We've been torn to shreds by injuries and our players have had 18 months of tough football. I don't think they're any better than us on our day - it's just the luck of the draw.

Thats why I think we will beat Ajax on Wednesday, Poch has torn into them and the players know they let themselves down... we know what went wrong and Poch and the players will fix it... it is fixable...

I have the same feeling. If we get top 4 I think this summer could a big one.

Even though we’ve won nothing. He probably feels he’s accomplished the first phase. Just like Ferguson who rebuilt 4 or 5 different teams. Walker gone dembele gone eriksen and Toby likely. Vertoghen Lloris over 30 Rose 28 it’s exactly the right time to start rebuilding. New team needed with a core of sanchez foyth winks sissoko(29 but runs like 25) Son dele Kane.

It’s easily fixable. More desire, no 3 at the back, Sissoko and Sonny starting, jobs a good un
