Look Poch has worked miracles for us there is really no doubt about that, no other manager possibly in our history has overachieved with the resources they have had in comparison to him. He’s steadily improved us in many ways and he’s improved as a manager. It’s is a weird one that we keep getting stuck at semi finals, some blame will lie with poch’s Tactics and team selection but mainly it’s just because in those crunch games our players aren’t good enough, we are getting so so close and if we’d had son dele and Kane we’d possibly have gone through but these are the fine margins against the top4 big spenders and as an earlier poster said the reality is we aren’t quite there yet. The thing that is hard to swallow is the timing of it, will Poch stay another 3-5 years to a point where we may just about be able to tip the balance in our favour and win things or will he say enough is enough?
On one hand it’s worrying that Toby will go, possibly Eriksen, Lloris May look to move at some point and then there is Kane who if we aren’t close enough to winning things will have a big decision on his hands. But on the other hand if we re-invest well like we have done with for example Sanchez and Foyth etc then we should be able to hopefully sustain our current level and when we are finally In a position to open the chequebook a bit to get those mabye 2 top top quality players we lack then we will be there but right now it’s still so hard to compete.
