If we're dipping our toes in the relegation places at Christmas I wonder if it'll still be a blip. I've seen no indication whatsoever that Poch can steady this "blip" let alone turn it around.

Sounds like opinion from jj and not actual itk if you keep reading what he is saying ! Ally golds survey... the article from telegraph and Gards saying he heard different seem to me he doesn’t have long left

My opinions only of course- these ain’t good:

Agreed

Aurier - always a questionable signing with a reputation for being very rash although occasionally decent going forward and has since proved to be as such

Dier - has always been a limited player with no discernible role in the squad bar one season

Winks - I actually rate winks in certain scenarios I.E. big games where we need a metronome. Against cannon fodder he is redundant and that is the majority of our games

Sissoko - he’s garnered some well deserved love and praise for holding down our midfield but the fact that he was tasked with that challenge points to a larger problem I itself. We should never have counted upon him. Such is the negligence that we have approached our midfield.

Davies - I like him as he is defensively sound and reliable but offers nothing going forward.

Rose - has arguably only had 2 good seasons in his entire career

Sanchez - Bambi on ice

Walker-Peters - a child playing against men

Alli - no comment. I honestly cannot form an opinion on dele as he is such a weird player.

Eriksen ‘19 - A very good player who has lost complete confidence in his own and the teams abilities

Vertonghen ‘19 - I honestly don’t understand why his form has dropped off a cliff as I thought he’d be a CB that would continue playing at a high level well into his mid 30’s

Lloris ‘19 - we love him but let’s be honest he has always been a tier below the required quality to legitimately challenge

Gazzaniga - jury’s out

there is a manager, currently available, who wanted at least 3 of the above players in his previous job....just saying.

Still somewhat surprised he wasn't given the sack after Brighton. Defeat v West Ham and that will be it IMO.

I think JJ has been quite clear in his views that he’s massively pro Poch. He’s literally just said it when talking to Gards, so I think that will play a part.

Gards hearing the opposite is significant as he’s also pro Poch.

The only reason I think JJ isn’t on the money with this particular info is purely because it is completely unrealistic and illogical to suggest Poch isn’t significantly close to the sack. Our form and performances compared to what is and was expected of us makes Poch easily the biggest underperforming manager in the league and for the longest period. It’s been going on for ages now. There’s just no way Levy isn’t close to pulling the trigger. There are far too many red flags at Spurs performance wise for Levy to turn a blind eye. That’s why when JJ says the club are backing him and it’s just a blip, it just makes no sense whatsoever.

Of course the club will make all the right noises that Poch retains full support until the very last moment, but it’s goes against all belief and convention in PL history to even float the idea that Poch isn’t close to the sack. It’s just not feasible.

Mourinho? What is your point exactly?

that these are not shit players. That one of the most successful managers of his generation put serious pressure on his own club to buy some of these players. Not saying I want Mourinho, but him, Benetiz and probably some others could get the current squad playing well again.

Likewise Poch is not suddenly a shit manager but it has gone stale and I can’t see it picking up. Poch will be a success elsewhere and we’ll likely return back to the top 3-6 where we’ve been for the last decade.

But Mourinho or Benetiz or someone else might just win us a cup along the way...

I agree. They’re not shit players. But relative to what we aspire to achieve they are not good enough but found their role in a somewhat successful side over the past few years. Now that the squad has become stale their limitations are there for all to see. Same goes with Poch.

With that being said, I don’t believe any one manager comes in tomorrow and saves the fucking day. No way in hell. There’s too much work to be done and my opinion is that we let the guy who has led us to aspire so high get a chance to make it right. That is all.
