Stories of Bayern wanting him this week, they’ve just been spanked 5 1
But how can one of the biggest clubs in the world want our manager? According to plenty on here the bloke's a mug, knows nothing about tactics, team selection, training regimes or how to win anything at all - it makes no sense!:cautious::whistle:

Feels like there’s been ‘if we lose x he has to go’ comments every game, but the season really has to turn around tomorrow. If we lose tomorrow he has to go. Everton are in as much of a mess as us ffs

They won't want him.

He's not gonna get fired if we lose tomorrow.

We just have to accept that Levy is going to back Poch for the time being, only when his position becomes untenable and we're REALLY in the shit as in close to the relegation zone at xmas then he'll act. The reason is because he hasn't lost the dressing room, clearly we have problems with a few players but the majority of the players are still with him it seems.

What we should be hoping for is for wins and getting our form back.
Won't we be very close to the relegation zone if we lose tomorrow? We were 11th last week. If Everton beat us we'll go 14th, 4 points above the drop and potentially 11 points off the top 4 and 19 points off the top which is pretty disgraceful for a squad of this quality at this stage in the season.

According to some here, we are still way early in the season with enough games to claw our way back.

Yeah I get it but I'm not the chairman.

Levy is a smart man, he knows what he's doing - he's probably looked at it and said if we come out of the first half of the season bearing in mind by the 4th December we would have played away to City, Liverpool, Leicester, Everton, Arsenal, West Ham and Man Utd we have a much more comfortable 2nd half of the season. I think this above anything else (apart from the compensation) is keeping Levy from pulling the trigger.

Funny how people always berated Levy to back Poch, remember the hashtag on Twitter?, yet the irony is that when's he actually backing his manager in his time of need some of you lot don't keep the same energy...you can't have it both ways.

Also we don't know what plan Levy and Poch have for January

It's a risky game though. Maybe the problem is the players and not Poch, but what if it is Poch? If we don't act and we're bottom half or worse by January, then there's no guarantees a transfer revolution will work (especially at such short notice) and we may even be flirting with the possibility of Championship football next season.

Even so, at this rate we could probably win every game after the January window closes and still not be anywhere near the top 4.

So we shouldn't try and offload players or potentially add to our team regardless? How is doing those things any more a risk now than ever. If they have a plan and we manage to execute it and things are still going wrong then it's further evidence for you lot isn't it.

4. Spurs win playing well, regaining some confidence

I guess you'd rather option 1 though
Ha, god forbid this happens. It seems lots of people and the media have already created a narrative where we are completely doomed.
Granted, a few additions to the team are needed to freshen things up, but we have lots of quality. A few good results and some slip ups from the teams above (hi Arsenal) and things will look much better!

Have you seen our form? Since defeat to Burnley in February, we've amassed 23 points from 21 league matches. During that time, we have not won a single away match. This is relegation form over a stretch of over half a Premier League season. Assuming this trend continues, we are going to be relegation threatened by January. The scary thing is there is no reason to assume things will change as Pochettino keeps making the same mistakes over and over.

The players we want out are strongly rumoured to be those who have limited time on their contracts. We're going to get peanuts for them and replacements aren't going to be cheap. If we are to radically reshape the squad we're looking at at least another £100m of net investment to get the quality required.

Another point to make is that there could potentially be a huge difference between what we want to happen and what will happen. What if Toby, Verts, Eriksen, Wanyama want to hold off until the summer? We may just have to carry on as we are.

Of course even assuming this overhaul happens, what is the likelihood that all things will immediately become rosy and that these new players adapt instantly? We all know Poch is extremely risk averse when it comes to new signings. Do you not therefore see the potential problem with just letting things drift as they are until the January window is done?

We'd be doing all this whilst turning down the opportunity to appoint coaches with proven track records at the world's biggest clubs (Mourinho, Allegri) who i'm convinced would be itching to work with the quality of the players Pochettino has at his disposal right now.

That to me sounds like a massive risk. Of course if we do keep Poch I hope we get the troublemakers out, get some replacements in and everything turns around very quickly. But being realistic this all has the capacity to go very pair shaped and the situation could get away from us before we have time to fix it.
