And what a dilemma for Levy if United make us an offer.
I guess he'd definitely be facing a dilemma of whether to suppress what an utterly win-win scenario that would be for us by focussing on biting down on his fist first or alternatively concentrating hard on preventing his heels from spontaneously clicking in glee.

When we lose to Liverpool we could feasibly be well in the bottom half of the table. Maybe like 13th-14th.

That’s crap.

He’s now said we should “be ready to sign players in January, but he’s happy with the squad”.

He’s now covered all bases in the space of a couple of weeks.

Couple of days more like, he continues to feed mixed messages

I can see it being soon e.g after CL on Tuesday. The Liverpool game is made for a caretaker manager. And gives us time to sort out Jose / Allegri's contract. No one would want that for their first game in charge.

How do you explain the trend for how we approach and start games is the same though?

We start games really slowly, and then with 20 minutes to go we're frantically trying to get back into the game or trying to win it.

It's the same as last season. That doesn't suggest burnout (not saying it wasnt ONE factor last season) It's a worrying trend that suggests, we're not mentally prepared properly to start games and the coaching in terms of our movement has looked non existent for months.

most seasons under Poch we usually find our pace around now. Trouble is our players are 4 years older and might be struggling to do what they used to. Gone from having the youngest squad for his 1st 3 years to being the 3rd oldest the last 2 seasons.

after his 1st season in the CL the press and pace has dropped off, it’s not like the europa where he was rotating heavier and I can only see it as conserving energy, an extra 6-8 games must take it’s toll. His 1st season in CL we failed to get out the group, the last 2 we have gone further.

if a team got to the final of both domestic cups and a CL final without any replays in the FA cup they would play 65 games (67 in Europa). We played 59 games last season, with most weeks having 6-7 players out injured and 2 or3 playing with knocks. We only fielded our strongest XI 4-6 games all season

Zero chance he leaves after the CL game.
If we lose that and get battered by Liverpool then some questions will start to be asked but right now given the credit poch has built with levy and the amount we’d have to pay to release him from his contract, he ain’t going anywhere anytime soon (even though I think it’s best for all parties if he does leave before the end of this season so new manager has January and summer to sort the team out but can’t see it happening)

Yeah, because the whole, not needing to buy line had zero effect on the morale of our players so figured he would just tell it like it is. Seems like he is trying every thing he knows to get something from the team and it ain't working.

yep, but instead sadly it’s coming across like he hasn’t got a clue what he’s doing anymore.

He talks nonsense most of the time, changing his tune often. You cant count on what he says. You cant count on what the players say either, the only way they should talk is with their feet and they have spoken

Can’t believe Poch had cheek to mention atmosphere at the ground when his team is churning out such crap.

It's the sign of a desperate manager when he starts to turn on the supporters, especially those who are shelling out a lot of money to watch shit football.

Very soon the supporters will turn on him in more numbers than they are currently.

Those players should hang their heads in shame. Even with very little tactical instruction you’d expect to be at least creating and taking a few chances per game. Absolute bell ends the lot of them.

This has been going on for a long time. Poch hasn't solved the problems and yet focused his excuses on all factors except the real ones. The fact is we have a hard time moving up the field. There is no pattern to our game. The strength and fitness advantage we have had in the past is not there any more. There is no creative strategies to deal with the problems. Pochs excuses are there because he has no answers
