I do know what you mean, but it's pretty standard that everyone goes their own way after the final game.

After the debacle at Newcastle a few years back, he was left seething as everyone went their own way after the game.
I can certainly understand that, but at the same time, this was the CL Final...

It could be worse guys... we could be Utd!

We clearly need a clear-out and probably 3 or 4 new players in. Clearly in need of two new full-backs and probably a defensive midfielder - would be nice to get another striker in also if we are planning on persisting with the diamond.

Talking about celebrating a Utd winner in Madrid for instance. Look at the way Klopp responds to such suggestions, clear he isn't going anywhere.
For me that simply isn't flirting with Utd.

As fans we need to not get too drawn in by people not answering questions exactly as we would like them to.

No but they can be used by people to defend terrible performances when they don't tell the full story.
While people are unhappy with Eriksen's performaces right now he is also our best passer and most likely to unlock defences.

We shouldn't blind ourselves that dropping him would get our work rate up but would likely lack creativity.

We didn't lack creativity against Leicester or Bayern to be fair, he started neither.

It's a trade off between making an average of 2 key passes per game of having him in playing half arsed and taking a starting spot of a player who is more likely to put in a shift and actually wants to be there...like Lucas.

We're better off with the latter.

Well no, but we don't need to take it to the extreme of if he doesn't play we have zero creativity do we? As adults we can accept that a lessening of something can happen without killing it is possible.

Eriksen is still our best passer and if he gets dropped we will likely lose a bit of creativity. That is not the same as saying we will never create a chance ever again.

You could be right.

Right now our biggest issue on the pitch is a lack of work rate and togetherness. Playing those who are desperate to play could be our best option right now.

Unfortunately he's entered Ozil territory where a couple of good passes is enough for people to justify their selection. Do they have the ability to pull off passes nobody else can? absolutely, is the 1 or 2 times per game they do it worth the rest of it? for me, no not at all.

Fair enough, as I said above, whilst I agree he has the best passing ability on the team, I don't think it's enough to warrant being in the team because of everything else that goes with it.

I just don’t buy the argument that the poor players are fed up with an unfair ‘regime’.
They were flying up to January/February time and it’s fallen off a cliff. It cannot be that they’re all of a sudden fed up with him.
This reaks of players passing the buck.

I was there Saturday & that was nothing to do with not liking training, they’re not exhausted they just did not give anywhere near 100%.

I’m sure there is blame on both sides & I’m not saying Poch is perfect, he’s struggling at the moment but there is definitely some poison being leaked from the dressing room and it really fucks me off.
Saturday was shocking. I’ve seen us play badly before but given the talent in our squad & what they’ve achieved over the past few years, that ‘performance’ from 1-11 was as bad as I’ve ever seen. And my first game was 1983.

Because Erik Lamela is the new saviour just decided by SC!

My post above agrees.

Right now the players who are determined need to be getting minutes. The crowd need to get behind the team and that happens when they see effort and desire.

I'd like to see KWP, Sissoko, Winks, Skipp, Son, Lamela, Moura and Kane starting regularly. Might lack creativity at times but bringing on eriksen late like we did against Villa could be a good boost.

Yeah, we can have some sympathy for the manager if the players are constantly throwing him under a bus but it's simple don't pick the ones who don't want to be around or more realistically gradually phase them out. We don't have to pick Eriksen, it's not as if he's been pulling up any trees in the past year or so, we don't rely on him like we did when Modric was here.

At this point I'd rather he play those who want to play for him and show a bit of fight, if we're losing matches or not getting results that's fine but look to build something at least with the players who want to play for you - I don't want to see another Brighton where the players just gave up.

Think GLC should be approaching fitness by the time we play Watford, he's new to the league but what's the harm in sticking him in, can't be any worse than what we're seeing now from Eriksen.
