I would have been fully behind poch had he stopped his annoying press conferences as I believe what he said to the media filtered to the players

That book release was pathetic. He thought at that time he was untouchable. You reckon he would launch that book now? He used his popularity to make more cash. Which current manager publishes a book? Just imagine in your line of work your boss without telling you was publishing a book about you? He has brought this on himself.

I like The Athletic article as it's well rounded.

What I have read too often in this thread are some trying to pinpoint blame on Poch, Levy or some players.

Individually each has contributed, that is without doubt, it's been well reported here, but this shit storm is a culmination of events.

JJ mentioned ages ago that Poch wanted Toby out. I imagine he also wants the others that don't want to be here out.

Levy can't get rid for whatever reason.

Players in no rush to go, but not fully committed to the long term cause anymore.

We are not in a financial position to purchase new players and let established players sit on the bench or the reserves.

Poch is pissed off; it is showing and motivation, moral and cohesiveness slips.

Our strength under Poch has always been the collective.

If we are witnessing the "Re-build", it is fucking painful alright!

Succinct summary of la Shiteshow, gold star for you

I feel for Poch, I really do. He's been going on about the need for some turnover in this squad for at least two seasons, and it's obvious that it's been just as much about getting players out as it's been about getting players in.

And the result now is that the group dynamic that elevated this squad more or less beyond their capabilities isn't there anymore. It's a tough nut to crack.
It's a good point but we are not in a position where we can just give players away and we also can't make them leave if they don't want to. Modern day football is like this unfortunately. As for bringing players in that's more on him than Levy.

I was talking to someone yesterday who is pretty well connected and in his words... If MP was so adamant on playing this diamond with two up top, why on earth wasn't a CF prioritised. We've had issues when Kanes been out playing one CF let alone wanting to play two.

Nothing regarding this formation change makes any sense.

Not only that, why wasn’t a new DM prioritised?

In the past when we’ve had a change in manager have ITK come out to say the manager has been sacked before the official announcement?
I know it’s a sensitive subject so many will not want to give too much away but there’s been no ITK (that I’ve seen) to say Levy is now thinking it’s time for a change.

I keeping seeing people say a pochettino plays the youth, builds the squad etc. But does he really? KWP and Skipp barely have had any game time, there is Winks and Alli but that seems to be what we are basing all views on.

Don't you think that he's no longer motivated? Perhaps he's lost it abit.

Actually I believe Poch’s profits from the book went to charity. What a twat, eh?

Also, Klopp’s book came out a few months later, so you’re not doing well with this post.

It's been over 5 years since we last changed manager, and ITK/leaks have massively reduced since then, so I wouldn't judge it.

If we are going to play two up top we've got Lucas, Alli, Son, Kane and Parrott that all play there. Some of our best games have been Alli and Kane up top with Alli slightly withdrawn.

Personally I think we are better in a 4-2-3-1 with the more fluid movement behind Kane and I don't see the point of playing a three of winks, sissoko and Ndombele as it's too stodgy. I think the best game we played this year was Palace at home and that was a two man midfield.

And we are “still” only 3points off top 4 - it’s crap, but it’s not a disaster yet.
It just seems so obvious - and it's not just fans but professionals in the game that are saying that he needs to drop the players who are not committed. I know that it's easy for us to sit back and say that 'Poch should do this - Poch should do that' but clearly something needs to change. I'd still say that DL won't sack Poch but clearly the latter needs to start thinking outside the box if he is going to turn it around.

There needs to be ground given on both sides. Poch needs to listen to player grievences and change things up accordingly. They should be allowed to have a say in training methods and tactics in a no holds barred, clear the air meeting. Poch also needs to work out which players he can trust and sideline the ones he can't. Levy needs to give a cast iron assurance that he'll back Poch, whatever the realistic cost, in January. Poch needs to put a lid on all the speculation about his own future and try to repair some of the damage he's done, and take responsibility for that.

As I've said before, professional footballers are generally pampered prima donnas with fragile mentalities and overly inflated opinions of themselves. Our lot have just landed with a bump in the real world and need to recognise that the ony way out of this is to pull together and just for a moment, stop thinking only about themselves.

There's no real reason there would be any, with transfers there are multiple parties involved from within the club and outside of it, where info can leak from. With this it's basically down to Levy to decide then tell Poch, then announce it. If he sounds out a new manager in advance that may leak, but he's not likely to WhatsApp message the itks so that we get a heads up.

This is starting to feel like one of those relationships where you do love the other person and you had some amazing times but you just know it's not working.

The thought of them being with someone else (United) is horrible so you cling on to that small glimmer of hope that you can make it work and things will go back to how they used to be, knowing it might be good for a little while (Southampton) but your issues will soon come back.
