The comment on Sissoko's new contract just a few days ago. Very disrespectful and unnecessary public admission in my opinion.

He never wanted him in the first place. It’s all documented in his book that he was a levy signing. Makes you wonder if sissoko’s transformation last season was even more remarkable if he didn’t have the 100% backing of his manager.

But once again, he will want money to spend. We have a squad of good players, but it’s unbalanced and any top manager with pedigree will want to shape it in his own way.

If Poch goes I will be placing a bet on Howe as next manager immediately.
By that logic, any sane manager would want money to spend. Or they’re insane and not for us

Lots of contributing factors:

Poch’s book
2 windows with no signings
WC hangover / no pre-season last year
Not replacing Dembele a year ago
Moving to Wembley
Moving to NWHL
Poch’s insistence on playing a diamond.
No fit DCM for most of 2019.
Levy’s inability to move unwanted players on.
Levy’s inability to sell players who want out.
Poch saying if we won the CL final he’d leave (in the week before the game!).
Several senior players out of contract at the end of this season.
All in all morale and energy - the two things Poch’s ethos was built on - are in short supply.

Drastic changes are needed - either change of manager or massive clean out of stale players

Can someone answer this.

Even when Chelsea, City, United or Liverpool had bad form and a manager under pressure, did they ever get hammered in this manner.

I can only think Arsenal at United 8-2
Don't know about city but literally all of those other teams have been belted by city 6-0, 5-1, and 6-1 at some point. Liverpool also lost 6-0 to Stoke. City copped a 4-0 against Everton under pep a couple of seasons ago.

Man C thumped Man U 6-1 at Old Trafford a few years ago
Oh yeah they did. But at no point were people questioning Fergie, plus he was the most successful coach ever. They had a player sent off and bizarrely tried to attack city but they weren't a team going off the rails.

We are, sadly. We are falling adrift and when you consider the squad we have I think its an utter disgrace. My worry now is letting Poch wait until Jan and summer 2020 to rebuild the squad only for it to improve nothing as it's shown that its down to his tactics and not personnel. Whereas a tactician like Allegri may come in and fix all tactical issues, bringing some resolve and winning attitude to the club.

I'm very nervous about Poch rebuilding. It was great in the beginning for him as he could sniff out the bad apples and put faith in those good lads. He was able to motivate those and get a great response from them. But the majority of those have been players who were already at the club.

He's track record of new signings is not exactly fantastic.

If he DL does that I hope he can find the couple of hundred million that Mourinho will require!
Funnily enough I think he would work well with this squad in the short term and I don't think he would demand the earth transfer budget wise. The clear problem is that he is a terrible long term fit for a number of reasons.

Hate to say told you so.

But I can’t believe I’m still seeing (only some) comments defending Poch and saying we should drop half the team.

You can see our individual quality a mile off when you watch us play, Son Kane, NDombele etc but we are so poorly coached and our tactical set up is embarrassing. Everyman and his dog could see how poorly set up we were first half and Bayern got in on goal twice in the first 5 minutes.

We are such a poor side structurally and defensively. We don’t press, we didn’t track runners. It’s just piss poor and it has been for a year now.

People saying we turned a corner because we spawned a win at home to Southampton..I said it was too early to say that.

Results like this tonight has confirmed my thoughts about Poch. He’s clueless, has lost the dressing room and needs to go.

I can’t believe how poorly set up we were tonight. We leak goals so badly.

Honestly, people defending Poch, give your heads a wobble and open your eyes. The guy is a joke. His continual failure to get this team over the line has shown up his limitations over the years tactically. When it comes to the big games when you need to tactically outsmart your opponent rather than just motivate them, he fails every time. His in game management is absurdly bad.

I hope Levy makes the decision imminently. Poch isn’t turning this around.

Thanks. Yeah I'd forgotten some of them All I can say is some of those happened at the beginning of managers reigns (Klopp, Pep). Rodgers oversaw that defeat, he was out the door months later - which proves my point

Same mistakes, it seems like every game now

i knew once we conceded the 2nd before half time it was game over, why is it every time we're playing well the last 5 minutes of the half we just start letting teams pressure us and get a goal? happened against arsenal, 2-0 up right before halftime they make it 2-1 and we go on to draw

once we got made it 4-2, we should've straight away taken off dele and winks and brought on eriksen and lamela, let ndombele stay on and let winks play against brighton, i like winks but he was horrible today too comfortable

in terms of poch, I do think we will get top 4 this season but as far as europe goes not even gonna lie I'd prefer us to just drop out now, one of the ugliest results I've seen, focus on top 4 bring in a new manager this summer, I think he deserves the season at least but wouldn't be bothered if he left earlier

First time in 15 years as a ST holder that i’ve walked out of the ground before the final whistle. Walked out when we we went 5-2 down and by the time I got to WHL station we were 7-2 down.

No excuse for that kind of capitulation and yet more evidence that Poch has well and truly lost the dressing room.

Poch needs to go now, while we still have a chance to salvage this season and while most of us still have fond memories of the man he was and what he has done for the club.

I find it incredible that Poch didn't apologize to the fans in his post match interview. That should've been the first thing coming out of his mouth.

Think the reality is he’s taken this particular group of players as far as he can. It’s been mostly the same squad for five years now. That’s far too long in football. Even if they’d been winning things. He wanted overhaul but didn’t get it. So if the players don’t change then the manager has to. Last year we stagnated and this year we’re regressing. He’s the best coach we’ve had in the Premier League era but it’s clear now he can’t get anymore out of this group so we need to get someone else in to see if they can get something different from this squad.
