Dembele is a calculated risk. Like buying a second hand car, he’s done most of his depreciation when at Barca who paid a mind boggling premium for him. Now At 18m and 220k in wages (reportedly), he’s unlikely to be unattractive to sell on in future for a minor financial hit (relative to Ndombele who we paid a premium for). Even if he breaks down repeatedly with us.

He must be being whored out all over Europe surely? Barca want rid and OD will have some preferences regarding country/league and teams. Likely going through his 2nd lot of options as no top tier team wants him?

I know this sounds pathetic, but I struggle to get excited about any signings anymore after the catastrophes that have been Ndombele and Lo Celso's Spurs careers and being so pumped that we signed them when we did.

Sadly I feel the same, mate.

What's even worse is when I read the brilliant ITK from Hotspur, all I took from it was that the "this summer will be huge" slogan was rolled out earlier than normal this year.

Hopefully this will be the window that change my transfer window miserablesness.

With the names we are shipping out, 4 actually sounds viable where as usually it would be an absurd number.

But I read on here top clubs don't buy more than 1 or 2 in this window..... Was I lied too or are we not a top club anymore

Getting those 4 in would improve the squad a lot IMO.

Wont matter. I don't think you understand the thought process behind those people's comments. Even if we bring 3 in, it's not the three that they want. It'll just be "Juve reserves", and "Paratici doing favours" etc.

I've seen the same line trotted out all window. "I don't understand why it takes us so long to do deals", and it's one of the only things these posters are getting right during the window, they literally don't understand.

As far as updates, generally I'm only getting them late on in the evening. Meetings going on all day so that makes sense. It why the Italian journo's have been getting stuff late as well. I've not got much to add that hasn't already been said which is why I didn't post last night.

I'm on the boat today so won't really be around until the evening, but will be tomorrow. We have quote a lot still going on so fingers crossed.

Well two days ago having been bumped on Traore and lost out on Diaz plenty of us on here thought we'd end up with a barren window so what's happened since then is quite remarkable and a definite pick me up with ITK coming thick and fast.
Two in (almost certainly) with other names in the pipeline I may just bite the bullet and tune in to the transfer countdown on sky tomorrow.

If you also add in Amrabat I don’t think I’m able to remember anything even remotely comparable. Talk about backing the manager.

Looking at news in various places, we'd be very lucky to get hold of Dembele tbh. Although we have a world class manager and a world class stadium we haven't quite yet got a world class team. Would have to be a massive sell to the player.

The real irony is it's nearly 1000+ online at any given time, and at the same time it's like 10 - 20 people sniping, moaning or just wallowing in negativity!

EXACTLY THIS: it’s a team game. Conte is an intelligent manager; by backing him we as a club are moving forward intelligently - at last!
