Kessie is a bit more Ndombele than Skipp, Hojbjerg, and Winks while retaining the defensive stability which seems about as Conte as it gets.

We'll sacrifice the Ndombele potential to produce something out of nothing for someone who can 'sometimes' add goals, assists, get into the box, while working back to do the dirty work. I think most of us at this point can agree that if that's what Conte wants, he's done more than Ndombele to warrant it hahaha

Last night Winks, Højbjerg and Skipp totally dominated Tielemans, Maddison and Dewsbury Hall, and we created a lot of chances. Conte's system creates the chances, not individual pieces of flair / skill. We need CMs who can defend, are technically sound, physically strong and tactically disciplined. Kessie is far better suited to playing for Conte than Ndombele is, and is actually an upgrade on Winks in terms of physicality and defensive duties.

With AC Milan in a title race I would be shocked if they let him go without having a replacement lined up.
Agreed but they need a replacement in the Summer anyway (unless he signs a new contract which looks unlikely) so fingers crossed!

Ornstein saying a London club has bid for Diego Carlos, not Arsenal so us or West Ham I’d say
Don’t understand the cloak and dagger from the media. Only thing I can think is the leak is from the agents side, because if they heard it from the club itself it’d be out there.

Just asked Fab Romano about this on his twitch stream. He said “let’s see, but it’s not going to be easy for Milan to let him leave in January”.

He rates McGrath as a journo though and said maybe

McGrath is a good journo, he ain't a click bait and in last few years he has had a lot of spurs stuff so if he's saying it then there's likely a lot of truth in it

Is "considering" further along the possibility of signing than "showing interest" or "have sent scouts to monitor" or "believe to be monitoring" or have "reached out"?
(n)
I think 'considering' comes after 'weighing up' and before 'prepared to swoop'.

I am not going to name names (players). A lot of what is coming out is accurate to a point. Agents and selling clubs contacting us and others. They then leak info that we are ‘considering’. Be very careful ?

Mike McGrath does not tweet bs!

Tottenham are considering a move for AC Milan midfielder Franck Kessié during the current transfer window to avoid a bidding war for him this summer | @mcgrathmike reports #thfc
Would be great to get him in ahead of the game so to speak.

Great all-round box to box midfielder, very dynamic, exactly what we need especially if we keep playing 3-5-2.

They desperately need a CB too so could loan them Japhet as a sweetener but doubt we'd do that without a replacement coming in which looks unlikely in CB position this Jan.
