It's that time of the window again!

A reminder for how this thread works. Post your wishlist formation with your ins/outs but we don't want a massive discussion on specific players, keep that to the player threads.

Here's mine:

In:
De Ketelaere - Assuming Vlahovic is off the table, this is the one I'd go for up front.
Traore - I'm assuming this is as good as done and I'm a fan.
de Ligt - I'm still a big fan of his and really wanted him when we were linked. de Vrij and Skriniar would both be excellent choices too.
Kids - I'd be in favour of a few "for the future" like Tanner, Savin, etc this window too but loan them back.

Out:

Dele/Ndombele/GLC - We could list 10 players here to get rid off that aren't good enough but it makes sense to ship out the high earners who we might actually manage to get a fee for.
Doherty - Not good enough and with Traore as RWB he's surplus

I still think the above leaves us a LOT of work to do in the summer as we basically need a full rebuild but it'd be a good start.

We'd still be poor creatively in the centre of midfield but I think that's a problem for the summer.

I think everyone agrees who should be the outs so I will just post my ins that I would like to see over the next couple of windows:

CF - Vlahovic
CM - Kessie
CM - Svanberg
RWB - Traore
CB - De Vrij
LCB - Pau Torres

Jan - Traore, De Ketalaere, Kessie (for whatever sum)
Summer - Kessie (free), Dybala (free), Pau Torres.

That's really not an outrageous outlay of players and if we get top 4 with Conte should be somewhat realistic.

Probably 100mil worth of transfers (20 for Traore, 40 for CDK, 60 for Torres) based off the prices thrown out in the papers.

Kessie and Dybala should be able to fit within our wage structures as well given the sign on fees we could offer, etc.

I am hoping we are after Brozovic (and Kessie) on Bosman's in the summer, as well as a LCB - possibly Romagnoli as he is also out of contract at Milan in the summer.

So this January window I'd like to see:

OUT:
Dele
Ndombele (loan to PSG)
Lo Celso
Tanganga (loan to AC Milan)
Gil (loan to Spain)

IN:
Traore
Winaldjum (loan swap with Ndomebele)
Kessie (loan swap with Tanganga)
De Ketalaere

Then in the Summer:

OUT:
Rodon
Doherty
Moura (as we switch to a 3-5-2)

IN:
Romagnoli
De Vrij
Kessie (permanent deal)
Brozovic

Out: Ndombele (loan with option to PSG), Tanganga (loan with option to AC Milan), Dele (loan with option to Newcastle that becomes an obligation if they stay up because fuck Newcastle is this legal? Who cares rules are made to be broken in the PL), Lo Celso (permanent), Rodon (PL Loan - Brighton preferably)

Not the most realistic but as you say wishlist:

INS:
- Traore, he's fun let's do it.
- Kessie, his agent might not want to but let's force it.
- Zakaria, a dominant DM who's an excellent ball carrier. Also out of contract in the summer.
- Schlotterback, probably my favourite Left footed CB in Europe so far this season.

OUT:
- Ndom to PSG.
- GLC back to Spain.
- Rodon to lower Prem team.
- Alli to Newcastle.
- Tanganga to Milan.

I think 3-5-2 is the way for us to go and feel we've performed best in that system so far under Conte.

The ideal striker would still need to be addressed in the summer and still lacking the guile of a true creative CM but I believe in Gil and didn't want to look at too many transfers.

CBs suddenly looks really strong for me with elite level ball playing ability. Romero / Schlotterback able to move into the Central role if Dier is injured and their deputies can come into their strongest positions to not weaken us too much.

Think our midfield would be able to dominate physically and then the pace of the wing backs should cause real issues.

Kane / Son we know what they can do and Berg / Moura can bring energy off the bench.

Based on the players we've been linked to really. No real point mentioning the others.

Traore - Jan
Vlahovic - Summer (for me the most important signing we could make)
De Ketalaere - Jan (this would be a huge get in Jan imo)
Kessie - If available in Jan, if not then I'd rather we attempted Brozovic
Svangard - Summer
Pau Torres - Summer
Lamptey - Summer

I'd absolutely love us to sign Dybala but probably not realistic.

My absolute dream signing who we've not been linked to would be Frenkie De Jong. My head would explode if that transpired.

Of the non league players, I'd be most interested to see the goalkeeper signed, that'd be the big one for me in that area.

We'd need an absolutely incredible period of investment and stadium right deals for this to transpire

I just want a proven CM who is press resistant and can get the ball forward somehow, either through passing skill or by carrying it himself. If we sign this and nobody else I would be happy. Kessie seems like the most obvious link right now but I would love for us to be at least considering Bissouma, Doucoure, Guimarães, Renato Sanches, or somebody of that ilk. I don't really understand why this has been such an unobtainable thing for us since Dembele left, we've been crying out for a player like this for too long.

Otherwise, Kulusevski seems to me like the closest thing to an "Eriksen replacement" that we could be in for, and can also maybe fill the ST role in a pinch. He's left-footed as well which I think is a bonus as we don't have many who can naturally cut in from the right. Speaking of the ST role there's also Jonathan David, Alexander Isak and Charles De Ketelaere, any of whom I would be happy with. Can't see both Kulu and an out-and-out ST happening though.

At CB we need ideally a left-footer, but with Romero coming back from injury I don't think this is such a high priority as it will already feel like a new signing for us. I would take anybody half-decent to rotate with Davies e.g. Romagnoli, Pau Torres. They don't have to be world-beaters just a competent upgrade.

Finally I'd be happy to see Traore at RWB, which is definitely a priority as Emerson is still finding his feet and Doherty just isn't cutting it regardless of the good performance the other day.

Either a quality, proven CM or otherwise any TWO of the above and I think that would be a good January window honestly.

January window

Im not so obsessed about incomings but wouldnt mind some of the names mentioned and realistically - Traore and Wijnaldum (on loan)

Outgoings? I want Tanganga, GLC, Ndombele and Dele gone and out of this club especially the former two. I like Dele a lot but he neds to go atleast on loan then see what happens in the summer.

Summer

Not sure on incomings but outgoing would be Gollini, Doherty, Rodon, Sess, and Emerson (I like Emerson a lot but unless we play a 442 he isnt going to suit the tactics)

Incomings - Kessie, Isak (if no Vlahovic), De Vrij, and Lamptey and Cucerella (and have Davies as a left sided defender which is his best position)

Emerson should be replaced too imo, not suited as a RWB

A bit too early to write him off imo. Although the likes of Emerson, Sessegnon and Winks have to still prove themselves over time and could be replaced in the next year.

January
- Scamacca. Only 3 less non-penalty goals than Vlahovic this season in 700 less minutes. Just turned 23 and is a real presence at 6ft 5 with good feet.
- Traore. Attacking thrust at RWB. I think he will be an outstanding option for us there.
- Kessie. Powerful and experienced box to box CM. Pay him a signing on fee and get it done, some of which dependent on CL.

Summer
- Raphinha. He’ll be expensive but I personally think he’s the outstanding player in the league outside of the big6 along with Rice. With Scamacca instead of Vlahovic we could spend our funds on this guy. He will add a lot of creativity and we would be electric on the counter with him and Son.
- Brozovic. Outstanding bosman transfer, strong and technical.
- Kilman. 24 years old. Proven as part of a solid premier league defence in a back 3. Left footed so slots in at LCB. Played futsal for England and is very decent on the ball.
- De Vrij. Experience and quality to slot in across the back line when needed.
- Spinazzola. Attacking beast at LWB. Genuine competition there and allows Sessegnon to go on loan in the prem and prove himself.
- Johnstone. Was impressed by him in his year in the prem. Think he could be the man to take over from Hugo. Free agent in summer.

OUT
- Alli
- Lo Celso
- Ndombele
- Doherty
- Rodon
- Tanganga
- Sessegnon (premier league loan)
- Gil (premier league loan)
- Sarr (premier league loan)

If Alexander Isak wasn't a FM wonderkid and had good video game ratings, would people really want him?

Only 8 goals in 24 matches this season, 4 in the league in 17 matches and that's in Spain. Highest goal total was only 17 in a season. Doesn't really score a lot for his international team either.

Just seems like a name that people always link who is decidedly average.
