I’m hearing a lot of “Max & RedBull deserved it”; so much so that an official from the sport had to bend rules to make them achieve that goal?
Also In essence, the 50 odd laps before and the other racers were a pointless to the race in Masi making that call.
He forgot this was a sport and not the final scene in a Michael Bay action flick.
In wanting to build the seasons climax into a last lap crescendo, he gave the public a Game of Thrones final season. All people will talk about will be the manipulation of the result.
I’ve seen a lot of bitter Max fans calling out anyone who dare say it was a fix just cause Lewis didn’t win, tbh Anyone had seen that happen between say Leclerc and Lando at any race the reaction would be same. It’s a fixed ended and there’s no getting away from it as it destroys the integrity of the so called sport.

Copying across a question from the F1 reddit: who would you say was the least-noticeable driver on the grid this season?

Probably Stroll for me. I don't remember him doing anything significant over the 20-odd races.

Bottas has been really disappointing for me this year. ok he’s contributed with the constructors cup, but the few times when Lewis has really needed a wing man he was nowhere to be seen...in that car he should’ve been a lot more competitive in almost every race.
It’s weird because in some races he can drive almost perfectly, others he’s just shite....I’m glad to see him move on personally.

Someone please help me! It's been two days and I'm still raging and really need to focus on work! I'm usually over the football after one sleep.

I think it's because there hasn't been 100% condemnation of the most outrageous interference of an official in sporting history. The pundits on Sky Sports were very philosophical about it all that can only be explained by not wanting to upset the apple cart. Jenson Button's piss weak questions of Lewis at the end, Damon Hill saying Red Bull deserved it because they gambled....they just have a great gig travelling the world and don't want to get on the wrong side of the FIA or damage the product they rely on. But it's a complete betrayal of all of us suckers that pay our subs and put in the hours watching.

Same if Mercedes drop their appeal. Even if they don't think it will be successful you just know there will have been some dealings behind closed doors to appease them in some way.

Also what infuriates me is the idea that the race finishing under safety car would have been anticlimactic and boring for new viewers. If you agree that it would have been boring to finish under an SC then F1 is not the sport for you. That race was genuinely exciting with the first corner conflict, Perez holding up Hamilton, the different strategies etc....it was great. If that's boring then some people are going to be shocked by some of the races next season when the camera follows a battle between 9th and 10th for 54 laps.

I fully agree with everything you’ve posted, but it’s highly unlikely anything will come of any appeals.
As Spurs fans I think we’re already conditioned for these crushing disappointments and shitty officiating...you’ve just gotta shrug it off mate.

Michael Masi in 2020:

”There’s a requirement in the sporting regulations to wave all the lapped cars past,” Masi said.

“From that point, it was position six onwards that were still running [on the lead lap], so between 10 or 11 cars had to unlap themselves.

“Therefore the Safety Car period was a bit longer than what we would have normally expected.”

If Mercedes can show that what happened in the last race is abnormal from previous races/seasons, then that has to be a strong case. Bits like that will just help make it even better for them.

Im not new to the sport but im not an F1 enthusiast or purist and really dont know the technicalities and tactical side of things and genuinely didnt know what was going on at the time.

However what ive read and what ive seen and what should have happened compared to what had been decided - I find very difficult to comprehend that a sport can allow that to happen. So essentially one man has all the power to essentially dictate an ending to a contest?

Essentially he chose the worst scenario possible. If he had used the red flag - he would have still had a racing finish and all on an even keel with everyone on new tyres etc.

It really is strange.

It’s almost impossible not to question his integrity, and I’m never one for corruption and conspiracy nonsense that so many on this site love to peddle.

It makes zero sense what he did.

#IstandwithLewisHamilton has reignited on twitter after Lewis Posted to Insta about injustice (I need to double check that though, could easily have been a fake I saw).

@LeSoupeKitchen I'm feeling your pain! Even being a Spurs supporter hasn't prepared me for this one, it's CL Final, Poch leaving and judus all rolled into one!

Honestly if you think it was a farce from the pov of the front 2. Look it at from one of the guys who couldn't Unlap themselves

This is total mayhem
