The hilarious sound and sight of Hamilton talking about Saudi Arabia's human rights record and how he " does not know enough about their human rights record but sport can be a power for good "
In other words when its about ( black lives matter ) he knows the ins and outs of a ducks arce but human rights in Saudi Arabia he has no knowledge . What a complete hypocrite I have no time for these black sports people spouting on about black lives matter or any other subject that they have taken the time to find out about but when it involves their cash flow all of a sudden they become coy and claim they have no knowledge like Hamilton or like Sterling ( regards city owners )
Hypocrites one and all I would have real respect for Hamilton if he was to say "I am not going to be part of this sport washing and will take no part in motor racing in Saudi Arabia " Does he not get that the treatment of these asian workers is just as bad and just as important as black lives matter and just as racist or does racism only count when you are black Afro or Caribbean it seems it does not count to such people if you are asian. But as I say the likes of Sterling and Hamilton earn enormous amounts of money from these despots enough money to claim ignorance of what is going on there you only have to google amnesty international and Saudi Arabia and they will tell you what's going on . As I say greedy hypocrites where money overrides all social issues .

:cautious: this aged well

Should be a good race with how they qualified and with more rain expected and lack of grip for most cars.

Still a shit driver. One good lap doesn’t change that. Pastor Maldonado won a race, are you going to tell me he was a good driver?

Hamilton proves he is actually one of the best drivers regardless of the car he drives and Stroll celebrates pole position like he’s won the race then fucks it and finishes 9th.

Perfect race weekend.

Triffic for Lewis.

You have to go back to the sixties to see a British F1 driver even half as dominant as he has been.

I agree with all of that apart from the fact that you are singling out 2 very high profile black sportsman

Supporting one very important cause should be applauded whether or not turning a blind eye in another direction is hypocritical

Money makes the world go round and sports washing isn’t going anywhere soon whether it’s Russian or Arab money

For certain people to throw away the career they love and have worked so hard to get to the top in is a choice I’m not sure they should or be asked to make

It is for Governments and governing bodies to step up first and foremost before individuals have to sacrifice everything they’ve worked for

Unfortunately with a society based on capitalism and with these countries & individuals holding so much wealth and having their fingers deep into every part of our lives and economy Im not holding my breath that anyone will do anything about all this anytime soon

The economies build on the back of slavery are in the past and this very old money is easier to try and deal with now even though it is still very much institutionally ‘delicate'

The Oil, Oligarch & Chinese money is the new money here and now and nobody is going to say a bloody word however bad their human rights records

Also the other superpower across the pond is by no means blameless or squeaky clean, by any means

Doesn't feel like too long ago LH was several titles behind Schumi and it looked like it would be near impossible to get near his records. Don't quite know how it's sneaked up on us, in that sense.

Incredibly achievement - I have no doubt people will continue to find a way to discredit it in some way, though.

(contentious, but also managed it without outwardly cheating, too...)
