That back up CB was imperative though. If Dav goes we have Dier and Davies as back ups in a high line.
Surely Phillips would have to be picked ahead of them if that were to happen?

Looking at this objectively, I would be happy to let Sanchez go on a perm if it get's him off the books. Reasons:

1. I don't rate Sanchez much higher as a CB than Davies.
2. We've got nothing but league games until Jan, so there's shouldn't be much need for rotation except in case of injury.
3. It's about time we got rid of someone.

I saw that you don’t think he’s ready yet but I’d rather play Phillips than those 2. Chuck him in at the deep end like we did Dawson. He’ll either sink or swim but he’s 6’4 so if he’s struggling, at least he can smash the fanny out of someone on his way down.

Edited because I don’t even know his name. I still feel like he’s more of a Williams than a Phillips though.

So we could be seeing Alfie Dorrington or Ashley Phillips get first team minutes if injuries happen because after Romero and VDV I really don't want to see Dier, Sanchez or Davies playing.

Continuing to pay the price for our poor recruitment/indecisiveness in the market over the last few years

From what I understand we've set a price of PSV hit it he can go.

I'm hoping common sense prevails and Levy calls it off or he pulls a rabbit out of the hat. I'm not holding my breath though.

sorry that would be nuts like total nuts. That would make a at best less than good window into a disaster where we have to hope and pray every game Romero and VDV stay fit.

that would actually make the window a full on f*ck up.

He's going to be putting Ange in a spot of bother for defensive options that's for sure and will need to reintegrate Dier back into the fold.

Yeah fuck the season as long as we make a quid or two.

People do really have short memories. Its almost as if Sanchez is being revered here ?
Every one here wants Sanchez sold -why ? Because he has been part of the calamitous defending

I dont care how many disagree with me on this 'hypothetical question'
If Sanchez is sold and not replaced...I am ok with it.
I would rather try Emerson as CB or give chance to Phillips, Dorrington and hope we replace him in Jan.

He's a kid mate and he isn't ready.

True but at this rate, with the system Ange likes to play our other options are completely unsuitable to that style of play. (Worse if Sanchez goes.)
