On to important stuff, this transfer window a mix regardless. We brought Ange in and that is huge. We've all seen it on the field. yet, we lost a generational player, but Ange's impact is just as leveraged as Kane's if not more so. (would you prefer Conte with Kane still here or Ange and this team?).
Brought in quite a bit of talent for now and the future all of which show upside. Ange is pretty good at coaxing that out. We failed to shift the deadwood (at least as of now). To be fair, we won't "know" how well we did until half way thru the season when we understand what these new players bring to the team after they are playing in Ange's system. or injuries decimate us esp in the CB position. Whatever happens for the rest of the day, so be it. I'm praying for at least a high quality CB. COYS
But here's the latest: The deal for Gallagher is officially off; we've stepped away from the table. Pierre turned down Fulham's 30 million offer this morning. Atletico made a loan offer, but it wasn't reasonable, with just a 2 million loan fee and a 15 million purchase option - not happening. Sanchez is currently in talks with a club, and there's still a chance that could go through, but we'd need a replacement. Unfortunately, the Kelly deal fell through because Bournemouth isn't keen on late-window dealings off finding a replacement .
