Levy has took THFC full circle in his tenure, now on the same level as Brighton, Brentford, Villa - next year will be Everton, Forest. In that time he has knocked down our beloved home, to move into a soulless bowl he built for tourists and NFL, and sold our best ever goal scorer. Yet gets away with it year after year.
Straight to my "best overreactions of summer 2023 transfer window" -folder.

I'm annoyed if it ends with just Johnson but it's nowhere near one of our worst windows.

We've brought in Vicario, VdV, Maddison & Johnson who all arguably improve our starting XI.

Yes we've failed to shift the shite once again, but it's not anywhere near as bad as people are making out. Are we a couple of players short, yes we are. But the squad is at the start of a rebuild and it's going to take time.

that is fair but I might add we are always at the start of a rebuild every summer as we don’t move players in or out fast enough and often change the manager so we need another set of players.

And no more excuse next summer about too many CBs. We will literally have 2 on the roster.

This would be truly incredible. Why conduct ourselves this way? Just looks so amateur.

Entirely possible there’s no one actually here, but if this is true, really no words to describe how pathetic it is.
And then the club wonders why nobody will do business with us- other clubs must avoid us (i.e. Levy) like the plague

Apart from Maddison, I honestly don’t think the others will have a big enough immediate impact. I’m still expecting 7th/8th at best.

But I do believe in their potential, and I feel we will see the best of them next season. Not expecting much for this season, I’m afraid.
I agree, but I was expecting 7th/8th at best this year anyway - and I know I wasn’t alone. It’s only the fact that we’ve hit the ground running that seems to have got people over-excited. Did anyone seriously expect Ndombele to do anything other than sit around counting his money?

My main disappointment is that I was really coming round to Gallagher in part on the HG basis.

The frustration is if we'd have accepted lower fees for the shit we wouldn't be in this situation. Rushing to try and get a couple out who aint gonna play for us again, keeping hold of is gonna make the cost less than you're being offered now. Dier and Lloris should've been released end of season. Knowone would bat an eyelid if Ndombele was sacked! Tongue in cheek that last bit but you get my point. We're using not getting rid of them as an excuse when 3 or 4 could've easily gone 3 months ago

Respectfully disagree mate. We sold Harry Kane, our 30 goal-a-season talismanic striker from our academy for well under market value (taking into account the prices this window) and the only two forward signings we’ve made are Manor Solomon and Brennan Johnson.

We’ve left ourselves extremely short in midfield - our starting trio seems to have good chemistry but we all saw on Tuesday what happens when they rotate out, absolute calamity.

Don’t even get me started on the CB situation. Van de Ven seems to be top class, but romero has an injury history with us and one injury to him and we’re back with one of the two chuckle brothers starting.

I really don’t think one of the worst is that big of an exaggeration, if at all an exaggeration. We’ve done the bare minimum with incomings and our only 2 permanent outgoings are Harry Winks and Harry Kane. It’s a complete failure

Look, we all know how transfer windows pan out so this cannot be a surprise. IF IT'S TRUE and I admit previous means it very likely is.

But right now, instead of acting like a gaggle of angry kids, can you not wait until the window closes before filling this thread with the same tired shit about Levy. In fact, given how your constant need to make this thread about him has resulted in my having epic hissyfits, i'm surprised some of you are even taking the chance.

Fucks sake. Wait. It's not long to go now, just fucking wait. When the window closes, have at it then. Jeeez

So there actually is a CB there? How is that possible when no media has picked up any rumours?

We’ll be in the same situation next summer mate, trying to shift the loanees / the ones we couldn’t shift this window.

We had all summer to do it this window & are left panicking on DD once again.

Looks like we’re done doesn’t it?

We’re a CB short and it’s a real shame the likes of Dier, PEH and Lloris are still here. Need a fresh start.

But it’s hardly the ‘disgrace’ some people are referring to.

It’s the CB issue that I think is the biggest problem.

I mean this is obviously still very raw. But I’m so very bored of this club and their (lack of) transfer dealings. We have a LOAD of players who we don’t want, yet we don’t let them go. We stockpile lazy or wrong players like nobody else and then are surprised when ppl aren’t offering £50m for them.

we will remain a banter club unless we get serious.
Yep, we leave so much money on the table by not getting the dead weight off the books.

It should be a fire sale of the unwanted players. Just get them off the wage bill, the transfer fee is almost inconsequential
