Smith is mentally done.
Probably a bit physically as well. These longer format games certainly suit certain players more than others. Stance and weight of throw start to come into the equation the longer it goes. Been a brilliant final though, so fair play to both.

Everytime Smith gets a chance to pull away he chokes.
He’s like Dave Chisnal, he’s got the game but not the mentality, shame, but congratulations to Peter Wright, he made it happen& he’s a well deserved Champion once again

Like I said earlier, Smith couldn’t afford to keep missing doubles and finishes.
Wright found a second wind when it looked like he could go 6-4 down, and fully deserved the title in the end.

Yeah Chizzy is another one. If the games were 11 legs long he'd have loads of titles. As the games get longer progressing through the rounds he can't maintain it. Mentality is a massive thing. Smith keeps getting to finals and falling short. I think once he gets a big one he'll get a few.

I agree, he’s got age on his side it’s just a case of getting over the line once , then the titles should turn up like the buses, the one stumbling block is how strong the chasing pack are. All in all it’s great for the fans of darts

The worlds started yesterday and the match that just featured an 18-year old woman who won her last 8 events in the women's tour, won the women's world championship so is obviously the best female in the world.

Obviously all the pundits/presenters on TV is bigging her up, claiming she's a sensation but then loses 3-0 to an unseeded player.

It was all to easy for him, winning the last six legs in the process, but they keep saying it wasn't easy for him but it really was.

But getting to the first round for an 18 year old is damn impressive.

Probably my ears playing me but I swear I'm hearing the crowd singing 'Tottenham get battered everywhere they go'.
