We're playing brinkmanship with Schalke over a few hundred K for Holtby. I can't see us spending upwards of £20mill, on the fee alone, for someone like William.

It was merely a way of saying if we don't get negredo or holtby then I think our chances of ANYONE ELSE were 50/50 5/10 half and half 50%

No, he is talking about 4 players who have been playing are carrying problematical or unresolved injuries...Defoe, Dembele, Dawson and Parker are the more likely suspects...for anyone who are raising eyebrows about Daws, those who were at the Utd game should have noted Daws landing heavily early first half, walking very cagily for a while until half time came and I dare say shots of pain killing jabs applied.
