Morning ITK fans
I'm worried that my dyslexic wife is cheating on me. She keeps texting me and saying that she wants to do Alan.
Aaaanyway.........What with all the recent fuss about Levy having a fetish for a late deal, here's a song for you.
DANIEL LEVY SINGS 'TRUE' by Spandau Ballet
So true funny how it seems
I can't make them sign, until the deadline which means
I got a rep which will not go.
People will think i'm an arsehole,
People will think......

I bought a striker for the Spurs,
But now we need one again
Why do I find it hard to make the next one sign?
Oh I want the truth to be said

Huh huh huh hu-uh huh
I know this much is true
Huh huh huh hu-uh huh
I love a deal oh yes I do.

With a thrill in my head and a deal on my tongue
Dissolve the negotiations that just begun
Logging onto SC (all night long)
People will think i'm an arsehole,
People will think......

The hair has gone from my head,
Make a signing and be bold
Sit at your screen & I'll make the next one sign
Oh I want the truth to be known

Huh huh huh hu-uh huh
I know this much is true
Huh huh huh hu-uh huh
I have to haggle oh yes I do

I bought a Bentley for the Spurs,
They want a record signing again
Why do I find it hard to make the next one sign?
Oh I want the truth to be said

Huh huh huh hu-uh huh
I know this much is true
Huh huh huh hu-uh huh
The ITK's are bastards too

Now people all know that I love a late deal
There's real bargains there to be had
I just want to save the club a pound or two
Now how can that really be bad

This much is a true-hoo
This much is a true-hoo

I know, I know, I know this much is true

And finally.......I saw a poor old lady fall unconscious in the snow today. Well I'm assuming she was poor, she only had 86p in her purse :(

Tottenham interested in loan deal for Real Madrid star

Spurs want Spaniard to join for the remainder of the season.
Tottenham are ready to make their interest in Real Madrid forward Jose Callejon concrete this month and are readying a loan bid for the Spaniard, fanatix has learnt.

As revealed by fanatix last month, Spurs asked their strategic partners Real to keep them informed of Callejon’s availability at the beginning of December – with Liverpool eyeing the 25-year-old as a possible alternative to Daniel Sturridge – and the Spaniards have told Spurs the player can leave on loan this month.

Callejon has been used mainly as a sub by Real boss Jose Mourinho this season, starting just seven matches in La Liga so far.
But the former Espanyol star has impressed in his cameos and boasts two Champions League goals to his name.
Callejon can play on the right wing or as a central striker and his versatility interests Spurs boss Andre Villas-Boas, who lacks cover for wingers Aaron Lennon and Gareth Bale and striker Jermain Defoe, particularly while Emmanuel Adebayor is at the African Cup of Nations with Togo.

It is understood that Callejon is willing to join Tottenham for the remainder of the season but a deal is yet to ironed out, with Spurs chairman Daniel Levy reluctant to pay a hefty fee to bring the player to White Hart Lane.
Spurs and Real signed a strategic partnership in August, following Luka Modric’s £30m switch to the Spanish capital, but the clubs are yet to do any business in the transfer market.

Meanwhile, Tottenham’s own Spanish winger Iago Falque remains a loan target for Swansea City

Is there any credibility?

Just check it was reported his income is EUR 56k per month so it would be EUR 3.4M for 6 month.

Come on Levy, you cant have it both ways.... and pls dont use the EUR 3.4M to bid for players that cannot even make it on our bench. Else just bid for him... he cost Real EUR 5.5M, might be a better deal.

2 things concern me here. Firstly the maths but mostly importantly the fact that you think spending €3.4m on someone for 6 months is good business!!

A&C, you are, sir, a major loon. I will be chuckling at the Alan joke for some time.

(I wonder whether fenman, who has apparently never posted on the site, has 'fat fingers' or is simply an idiot.)

Maths are a bit out...

My apology... I think the reported fig looks like EUR 6M a yr. so the monthly should be higher.... I wonder why the site put it as 56k per month.

Also to ans GBspur.... yes 3M for 6 months with zero capital return is too high which is why I suggested to buy him instead. At least he can play 3 position which we lack depth and we can still get a good value out of him. He is also 25 yrs only.

Or maybe Levy is hoping Real will subsidise some of the wages.... but I still dont see why they would do that since they also have not much cover for the wing position.

morning all, reckon callejon if it happens will be in the next few days. gives levy leverage then to go balls out after mouts if we're supposedly covered in the striking area.

cheers a&c though as always. raises some very important questions......
1. who in the fuk is fenman?
2. why wait 6 years to dumb a spandau ballet post? of all the crazy people on here, that's right up there o_O

6m Euros per year is about 115k Euros per week or £96k - I can't imagine us paying that to a loanee like Callejon when we only pay a similar figure to our highest earners.

I have faith in Levy and his shrewdness! Remember we sign VDV for £8m what a player.. We are a club who isn't in financial debt; we are building a new stadium so heading in the right direction! We do need some players for our key areas but I am sure that the Coaches/Board sees that! COYS, in Levy we trust!!

Won't happen.

If it does happen it will be purely coincidental and nothing to do with having to play Utd this weekend.

Dudes, they obviously just dropped a '0' - i.e. it should be 560k p/m which is 3.36m for 6 months rounded to 3.4m. Unless the whole thing is bollocks of course - would RM really be paying someone they signed from Espanyol €130k (about £100k) p/w?
