They all played, and if you think we can just throw an odd thirty million at a player in the hope he will learn a language (God forbid he actually plays) then you are deluded. It's obvious to all that Lamela isn't working out. Not his fault, but we have some people on here saying we should by another Argie to "keep him company" or employ Ardiles as a pen pal. Fucking plain stupidity.

What's stupid about that? He's not a robot, he's a human being with actual feelings, and feeling alone and isolated isn't very pleasant. If we can help him settle by signing a fellow Argentinian his age, wouldn't that be a win win situation? It shouldn't be too difficult to find a decent Argentinian lad around 20, and if they'd both be more settled by each others presence, we could all of a sudden have two Argentinian starts in our team instead of no Argentinian starts in our team.

They were all selected to play. I don't think there's any suggestion that Lamela doesn't want to play.

I was not suggesting that he didn't want to play. I am saying that it appears that AVB and Tim do not want to play him, and not even include him on th bench. He has supposidly been injured so i accept that, but i am pleased that we have the wealth to take a punt on a player that has cost so much. Just goes to show how buying cheap players like Michu just does not pay off in the end i guess.......................

The whole language thing can be sorted by enforcing the use of semaphore, for everyone from the tea lady through to Levy. It will take a little time but will be easier to learn than esperanto and the manager can eloquently instruct our players from the touchline, in the noisiest of environments. It will also keep people fit, and all they need is a pair of arms and flags. Lamela will rapidly adjust and become our greatest player ever. All Spurs have to do is purchase my video tutorial, at its special introductory price.

I've worked in same company for 12 years. Moved to New section 1 year ago. All my colleagues speak English. Still, took me 6 months to settle and only now 1 year on am I producing my best. I've had it easy. Imagine how Lamela feels?

we need a LB in this window, whether its just cover or a first starter it doesn't matter, its a must that we keep Verts at CB and keep the balance of having a natural Lb in the team at all times!

Would be nice to sign a young up and coming target man forward to be in and around the squad and ready to step up for when Ade gets too old (we may have a youngster already, i have doubts on Kane)

Would seriously push for Shaw or the swansea LB.

Forward wise...Benteke would be nice (obviously) but prob not available yet... But I would be on the phone to chelsea about agreeing a deal for the summer for Lukaku. now AVB has gone (apparently they had bad history) he may be interested in coming!! if this deal could be done then I would stick with what we have now until the summer.

If we managed top four and added (whether now or in the summer) Lukaku, Shaw and make a push for Phil Jones (i rate Jones and if United dont get CL it may be a possibility). While Selling Dawson (if Kaboul is fit and staying), Naughton, Sigs, Livermore and Maybe Holtby (fan of the lad but we have too many with Carroll coming back)

I think we have the makings for a consistant top 1-4 finish for years to come with a good mixture of experience and youth

We did and we fucked up.

However, I agree with the rest of your post but I doubt anything will happen this window.

The bit I quoted make TS19 very happy. I actually don't think many things in the world would make me happier...
