Not sure if already posted.

Tottenham's desperate attempts to secure Internacionalforward Leandro Damiao have seemingly paid off, withClicRBS reporting Spurs have been given permission to launch a whopping £19.7 million offer for the Brazil international. It's a fair rise from Tottenham's offer of £15m earlier this month and shows how keen Andre Villas-Boas is to bolster his attacking ranks. Damiao has reportedly received the green light from his club to move to the Premier League. Expect the deal to be done today.

Oh well.... I am not overly optimistic. Looks like a difficult task.

Hey, Beaut Yetta, one of my two favorite semi-lurkers (yes the other is you Pasadena) is back after a few months away. Welcome back. Enjoy the insanity

God damn you Happy for calling me out!

Being West side (it's tha best) means I can't get onto this site until 7 or 8pm UK time. By then, there are 50 pages of discussions which have come and gone and it takes most of the afternoon to catch up, hence my use of ratings. I love reading the comments, arguments, love, vilification and jokes from the posters on this site. The sense of community between a group of strangers with one common passion makes my day. Happy, you are one of the great contributors to this site. My favourites know who they are(y)

Right, who wants to help me catch up on a months worth paperwork........

That was posted in more of a blog form with real time updates on transfer news and is attributed to ESPN Staff. I honestly view it as only a minor step above the infamous "Sportsmail Reporter". If all of that is true I really doubt that they would be the ones breaking it. Even though they are citing this Brazilian site as the true source, I think it would find it's way in the other rags if there was a chance of it being real.

Sensible words there mw828. I really can't see leandro signing. Certainly not for that sort of money, and certainly not when there is a world cup in Brazil next year.

Got tomorrow/today booked off as holiday purely so I can mentally prepare myself to be as pessimistic and morose as possible. Going to black out the windows, stick on some Joy Division, and watch Schindler's List, Misery, Sophie's Choice, and One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest.

If we move Bentley, JJ, Hudd, Jake, Andro.... that is 5 players. Can we pull at least 1 more quality player in?

Sky transfer clock:

We're now into deadline day and I'll leave with you news that Internacionalpresident Giovanni Luigi has denied reports that Tottenham Hotspur have made a £20million offer for long-term target Leandro Damiao.

Or was that from way earlier?

impossible for damiao imo. damiao's wages + ade wages + defoe wages = around 200k. no way in hell we play lone striker and have the other two sitting on the bench with such a bill. negredo would be more reasonable due to the lower transfer fee..

mout on the other hand, i dont see where he'll fit after holtby is here and with hudd, jenas, parker, livermore still here
a rotation of mout, dembele, holtby, sandro, diame, (filler) would be amazing though.

Lloris, Freidel, Gomes, Cudicini must have cost a bit.

definitely. but do you think damiao will take wages thats lower than 50kpw? i dont think so, and that in total adds up to almost 200+ kpw for 3 players. we didnt have 4 keepers until this window, and we quickly moved cudicini after that, so it isnt as bad as you think though

Shipping Gomes, JJ, Bentley and Hudd would save bout 160k a week
