Strange POTL hasn't said anything about Bale? You would have thought with all the noises about him leaving he would have given us something?

Still dead happy with Soldado info, should get the spirits up in here!
He has said a number of times he was born to play for spurs whenever he does comment on it. If things change I'm sure he would say, but as most of us suspect nothing has changed and its all media bollox. I'm inclined to share his optimism on the matter.

Promising news from POTL. Really hope this is confirmed very soon, the suspense is killing me.

I wonder what the issue with payment terms is. Maybe Daniel Levy hs suggested he will pay 15m euros now and a further 5m euros on the 13th month of each year over the next 3 years.

I have to admit I have been on the sidelines for the last week or so taking in every post I can on Soldado before deciding enough is enough and I had to get involved. He will take us to another level.

What I like about the potl itk is the word "agreement" used on both club and player. Surely a case of when now rather than if! Valencia fly out on Thursday I think so hopefully by then!

There's still some nagging doubt for me that terms can be 'agreed' but there are still things to 'iron out'. To me that isn't an agreement. Aside from that, this is a good update from POTL in regards to the contract terms. And it does give you a bit more confidence that this deal will finally get over the line.

I am seriously getting get annoyed with people saying things like "It isnt done then" and "why says its done" "That ITK was wrong he never did join us, so why should I listen to him now".

You have three choices;

1. Become one of the people who will only accept news for the OS, everything else is made up. Don't go on Twitter and probably best to avoid Transfer Rumours threads
2. Listen to ITK, season on season learn who to trust (for yourself) and make up your own mind. Be one of the people who strive to know the transfer news early and accept that most things wont happen.
3. Close your ears until around 2 Sept.

And just because someone doesn't join doesn't mean it wasn't going to happen (ITK), just means they or us decided on something else. I hear this everyday, its very annoying. It also may have been fabricated (oh no) but take the rough with the smooth.

Interesting stuff, but it literally isnt dont yet is it? I mean literally. It isnt done yet.

I'm happy with that from POTL.
I said earlier this was resembling the latter stages of the Vertonghen and Paulinho transfers, and so it seems. It's beyond the stage where it won't happen & only details to formalise. No other club involved, it should get over the line.

Welcome Soldier.

My take on it is that the general thrust, for want of a better phrase, of the deal has been agreed - but there are still caveats to sort out regarding the payment structures.

Certainly sounds like its more inevitable than a problematic few days ahead of us with a lot of nail biting.

That's largely how I feel about it too, I've been critical of him for a long time because in his updates he very rarely actually says anything, but this bit about the contract terms is actually what ITK always used to be about.

That's sort of my whole point though mate, I don't see how there can be an agreement if there are things to sort out.

It's like saying, yeah ok we'll give you the 30bar...but we don't actually want to give it to you.

Hopefully with this update from pottle it's only a matter of time and we'll see our new soldier marching on against Monaco in a few days.

Maybe the things to "iron out" are internal rather than the agreement with Valencia. Hope so anyway, this seems to have lasted for centuries, even though its only been a week.

Also when you consider the Leandro, Villa and Benteke sagas, to name but three, plus the endless running joke of our inability to sign a striker, then this is like manna from heaven.

Non Spurs fan: 'Hahaha...You need a striker'
Me/You/Us: 'WE HAVE SOLDIER! SO FUCK YOU!'

Well there is obviously an agreement over the total amount. He must be referring to that at the very least.

The other issues that need resolved, perhaps are close to being so. We'll know anyway as soon an Valencia announce they've accepted our bid/proposal.
