Another striking target gone!
People can apologise for Levyball they want but 1 way or another this club has failed again to sign a striker.
The time for chasing top category strikers is gone. We get played every time. When it comes to the big players, whoever does the negotiation fo Spurs lacks the savvy!
Time to gamble on a Bony, Doumbia or that kind of striker now.
What's the odds on us reaching deadlie day without a striker again?

It strikes me we may have heard he was available for around 5 million Euros and thought that was good business but when we spoke to Barca the fee had suddenly doubled purely because we were PL. I think I would try to haggle that back down a bit? Then the offer comes in from Atletico and it was probably a no-brainer for the player for all those reasons mentioned above. I think our list is down to Benteke and Soldado now with Leandro seemingly on the way to Napoli.

It wasn't just our ITK, Mundo Deportivo, Guillem Balague, Graham Hunter, Marca all got in on the act. Just goes to show that when enough people tell the same story it becomes compelling

To be honest, I wonder if that's as far advanced as it's made out
Really disappointed by this, I thought he was an ideal player to have in a 4-3-3 and would have brought a lot of skill to our (at times) fairly one dimensional attack

Surely no one expects us to sign a top striker. We'll certainly try and fail to sign any number, but it would be strange to expect Levy's MO to suddenly change.
