Please someone find me some ITK that links us with a striker better than Damiao, I do not rate him as better than Adebayor and he hasn't improved and perhaps even regressed since the first transfer window we were linked with him...

Giggs won the Champions League twice with his club. Gerrard won it once and had the benefit of Scouse gangsters making death threats if he were to leave.

We've failed to qualify the last two years and out ambition and success has not matched his. On that basis is it really surprising that he wants to leave?

Gerrard was on the verge of Chelsea until Liverpool won the CL. It's all circumstantial. Top players don't stay at clubs that aren't winning anything - just ask Arsenal.

Respectfully disagree. I think Lamela is due a season like Bale's previous one. More of a polished player than GB was at his age too.

At 21 Bale was being offered to Forest on loan till Benny got injured.

Just for discussion sake.... we can trigger Benteke release clause with Bale's money if he goes. If he doesn't, I am fine with any new talent since Bale can also play CF.

Stagnation may well be his plan to get out of jail. Luigi's been a complete wanker in his approach to selling him. If I were a player dangled about as much as Damiao I might well try another way out.

Plus last year we didn't have Franco running around to smooth out deals for us. I don't think four or five in is too unreasonable. Wrap up Lamela and Chiriches soon, one more deal for LW or LB over this week, and two Levy deadline day specials.

He's right you know. And that all happened with relatively low amounts of money involved.

If we're suddenly the proud owners of 90m then we might go so crazy that it's not out of the question that Spurs will accidentally sign A&C in all the chaos.
