Anyone see JJ's tweet saying qpr not getting their centre back off of us? Would post it but am on my tablet. Says they're getting Helen's replacement from up north. Not gonna be galas then!

They were linked with Distin, although he's a starter for Everton so probably not him.

For me it's got a lot to do with the hangover of the letdown from the last window. The expectations, realistic or unrealistic, were set at a high bar given the outgoings and money thought available. Great additions were made, but we also had our hearts ripped out when Moutinho fell through at the last possible minute (I still remember holding on to hope that we got additional time to get it sorted).

I think it'll take the next decent signing to turn me around. Just as Dembele improved my mood, I think another signing of that nature will help get that excitement back. Holtby did a good amount to *ahem* turn my frown upside down and he was a free (as of now). So, I think once the next quality signing comes, I'll get that good feeling back, at least I hope.
Absolutely agree. We did some fantastic business but the promises and I'll admit I was guilty, made us greedy as fans.
Not blaming the club so much but more 'certain' ITK's. I guess we were left feeling shortchanged when we missed out on Moutinho and Damiao and subsequently overlooked who we had secured.

I want to believe we are getting Damiao (tbh I've given up on DM) but I still don't see it happening. Hope I'm made to eat humble pie.

Is it only me who isn't finding this transfer window that exciting compared to other ones :/ Just feels a bit like 'been here before one too many times'

Toi be honest I had zero expectations for this window. I still don't think we'll sign Leandro or Moutinho, however I'm very happy with us signing Holtby. I've only seen a few vids but he looks like an exciting prospect, so in that respect this window is already better than expected.

QPR will go for Ollson probably. West Ham want him, but Harry has always liked the player. Think it'll be him.

I think it could be Richard Dunne from villa. Only 6 months left on his contract as well i think?

But Harry could still come in for one or two of our lads from the info i got. He had a list and was told to come back with some offers.

Jamie Carragher? Harry type target for sure. Not sure he'd ever leave Liverpool though.

Can't think of anyone else without delving into the Championship. Scott Dann, David Wheater, Andre Bikey, Zat Knight, Roger Johnson (Midlands rather than North).

A Richard Dunne - Jamie Carragher combo would be awesome! Imagine all the goals they'd score.

At the wrong end but let's not be trivial.

God, im sick of the January transfer window already.

Can imagine Levy sitting in his office anxiously waiting for a phone call, any phone call. Whilst singing along to his favourite artist: Flo Rida

(To the tune of: Let it roll)

Levy's nice when his understood
Even nicer when they pay less than they should
Dan's got them trippin' over the player they sold
Come on Levy, lets sign Lee-an-dro
Come on Levy, lets sign Lee-an-dro
Come on Levy, lets sign Lee-an-dro
Come on Levy, lets sign Lee-an-dro
Come on Levy, lets sign Lee-an-dro

(Etc etc)

He repeats this every day until transfer deadline day.

Before finally thinking...fuck it, lets buy Saha and Nelsen.

Rio Ferdinand?

Then you could have both of The Ugly Brothers playing in the same team.

So you think west broms captain will leave a team in the top half of the table to go and fight relegation with QPR? Yeh, that's logical...

That's who I was thinking of, believe his contract may be coming up soon and seem to recall Harry had an interest in him previously.
