this. Gallas has been very good for us on far more occasions than he's let us down. Cheers Willy, if you go.
agree with this, and who you quoted.

Also having WillyG in the dressing room is invaluable! We have lacked a WillyG "asshole" player for many-a-season. I'm sure if he goes to QPR that this mentality will prove to be invaluable again.

On a nice little side note, my former coach, now a coach of Toronto FC's youth academy is in good graces with Nelson's assistant coach over there. I guess it's an Irish-connection type thing. But anyways, he promises to send along any EPL stuff he hears. Might be none, as he said Nelson is very serious about the coaching job, but I'm sure some might slip by in conversation :hungry:

Can I tell you, to tell Toronto's youth coach, to tell Toronto's assistant manager, to tell Ryan Nelsen that I like his chin?

True mate, but I'm guessing AVB really didn't want Ade going after him already stating he wouldn't. Kinda like going against your bosses will don't you think? If AVB and him don't get on, he has to leave. Look at the other clubs he's been at, constantly sulking and moping as soon as it doesn't go his way.
We need to set a good model at Spurs, with players that want to play for the club ala Dawson, Defoe, and players that want to play for the manager too, for example Holtby, Moutinho etc

Yeah, I totally get your point of view mate. I just don't think we're in a position to be able to do that with Adebayor until we know we've got someone who can at least do as a good a job as he can.

If only we'd signed that other moody striker that's currently plying his trade at Fulham...

Villas-Boas said: "It's very difficult for me to tell. At the moment, there is a dispute between him and the federation, the player has spoken about it already.
"He has also said that situation is not just about the dispute that they have, it is also about the fact that he doesn't feel comfort and safety in going to the Africa Cup of Nations.
"I can't put myself in his position to tell if he is going or not going because I respect the player, I respect the competition and if he has to go, we just have to make sure we address the problem he has."

This is what AVB said on 29 December so it's not as if he was certain Ade was staying etc so i hope for one it won't drive a wedge between the two. We need Adebayor in addition to a new shiny new striker

Of course we'd sell him. There's desperate cash to be had from qpr and we've got assets to burn in central defence and irons in the fire to replace him if neccessary.

As if we would sell Gallas. He has been first choice for most of the season.
He's not started the last 3 matches & fewer matches overall since the start of December, ever present before that.

I'd keep him around but it's not impossible that having given some others the benefit of his experience and allowed Vertonghen and Caulker to settle in, he could be surplus. Throw in that Dawson seems to be in favour for the 'Stokeish' matches too...

One of reason that would push Sneijder to reject Galatasaray would be his agent's words about an offer from England coming in next days

He's a WUM I swear. He broke the news originally saying we had agreed terms with him. Why would we do that and then not bid? Nonsensical.

I can only imagine he is being used as either bait or a back-up depending on the Moutinho outcome. I have tweeted him asking that very question.

For me it's got a lot to do with the hangover of the letdown from the last window. The expectations, realistic or unrealistic, were set at a high bar given the outgoings and money thought available. Great additions were made, but we also had our hearts ripped out when Moutinho fell through at the last possible minute (I still remember holding on to hope that we got additional time to get it sorted).

I think it'll take the next decent signing to turn me around. Just as Dembele improved my mood, I think another signing of that nature will help get that excitement back. Holtby did a good amount to *ahem* turn my frown upside down and he was a free (as of now). So, I think once the next quality signing comes, I'll get that good feeling back, at least I hope.

He was doing the bidding of an agent I expect, whether knowingly or unknowingly.

To make Inter get even more desperate and lower the current transfer fee?

Or perhaps agree terms with the player and then wait until lastminute.com to bid since everyone knows they are desperate to get him off the wage bill.

Inter are stuck in a corner, no point bidding early (per se), don't give them any breathing space.

Just a thought.
