How do you know they've accomplished fuck all? We could have worked through pages and pages of details for contracts, following lengthy negotiations. POTL saying "breakthrough", and rebrab's encouraging info earlier suggest that's exactly what we've been doing.

Pretty much said that we're working on bringing in players soon (strikers presumably), and that Adebayor would be signed in time for Newcastle if the other deals don't go anywhere. At least that was how I interpreted it.

Yup the guy who scored for them last night. Worse than Defoe or Kane?

Levy can sell Modrich for say five odd million less than he HIMSELF wants and still make more than DOUBLE what we paid. If that ain't enough then perhaps Levy ought to fook right off and become the Chairman of a Bank? He's just fiddling while Rome burns, oblivious to feeling any urgent need for action.

Buying a player for our "level" dosen't mean thirty million here and thirty million there. Newcastle found some gems last season and i am sure that they haven't cornered the market in fooking young overlooked talent! By all accounts they like others (Rogers at Liverpool for instance) who have some pre-planned ideas on recruitment. Funny how year after year and transfer window after transfer window Levy finds a way to offer zillions at eleven o'clock on transfer deadline day for a Rossi for instance but does fook for the preceeding month!

He can fool some of the people some of the time but i ain't one of em'.

Seems to be too much smoke about Lloris now. I didn't really believe we were going to sign him due to JJ's tweets but I am guessing Lyon must have reduced their demands as maybe Lloris kicked up a fuss (would explain him not playing tomorrow).

Well it's a lot easier to see why the club has been in lockdown recently. They really can't afford for the information that they have accomplished fuck all to get out.

Is POTL's reference to Lloris today the first time he, JJ, or Archie have mentioned it? If so, that is pretty substantial news considering JJ had been quashing that link.

Are you ITK on this?

Pottle referred to 'dark blue'; people have taken this to mean Lloris. JJ said 12 days ago that we'd enquired about Lloris early on, but been put off by the price. That squared with what Aulas said when Lyon were in the US. That doesn't rule out the possibility that things have changed in the last few days.

Hmmm. Reading between the lines I wonder if this means that a deal for a striker (maybe Leandro, or possibly Llorente) has fallen through in the last day or two (which would match JJ's downbeat itk from yesterday), and the option to sign Adebayor (that rebrab mentioned today) has now been triggered, and is now in the final stages of being sealed?

Personally as much as I'd love Leandro I'll be perfectly happy if Adebayor signs. He worked so well with our style of play last season and would still be a massive statement of intent.
