For me deadline day is all about watching Arsenal fans sweat it out as they get outbid for all their targets. A new LB to us would be a bonus to a great transfer window.

well it doesnt really work like that, Huddlestone could be a 45 million pound player if someone was willing to pay that muc hto get him, doesn't mean he's actually a 45 million pound player.

Some of you will never be satisfied! Seriously guys and girls, we broke our transfer record three times this window, one of which was on an excellent striker. I cannot see for the life of me why we would bring in another striker, especially for £45m, as AVB has clearly demonstrated that we're going to be a one striker team this season.

I would be happy if the window closed right now. We're going to be phenomenal this season - 10 games in and we'll be flying.

Bonus signings would include a fantastic left back and a potent left forward (i.e. right footed goalscoring forward). But they would be bonus only and I am delighted with the depth of our squad.

I've never rated him at all, however it's almost written in stone that wherever he goes that club wins their league so on that basis sign him!

I'm kind of confused as to why everybody is obsessing about the precise figure given by the goat? The logic seems to be going "these are the players valued at exactly 45 mil, we can't/won't be getting any of them so we won't be signing anybody" am I the only 1 who finds this to be a somewhat odd way of thinking? Surely the source/s could have simply been told a figure to try to convey that it will be a big signing rather than one that costs exactly 45 mil? So the player could be worth less than that but still worth a lot like Lamela?

In general I am very happy, the scum loss actually kept me up part of the night as I couldn't get rid of that sick tight feeling in my stomach, but that aside we have had an amazing window. If we could somehow today strengthen our left side, with a real emphasis on Rose, I would be more than happy.

Once we get the new players in and Sandro and Kaboul back firing we will be a force of bloody nature!

In this TW for us I think it is a good thing; in keeping with the last couple of weeks. It means everyone is working away behind closed doors and blacked out windows on hush, hush potential deals

At his best be is one of the best. But I suspect his record has a lot to do with the clubs he's played for at the times he's played for them.
It's not like he's played for a small club and won them a title. It's been Barca, Inter, PSG etc.

I don't see the fascination with signing Coentrao or another left back. I personally feel that Rose has performed better than Walker so far this season and without any takers for BAE we'd be fine with him as back-up. I'd rather sell Ade and bring in a young, raw striker who actually put himself about a bit, as an alternative option to Soldado.
