We had a better squad than Chelsea a few years ago.

They improved and we regressed, simple as that.
Our midfield was developed by Poch, we went away from that when we got Jose. We now have Nuno who also has a good track record developing players. There's is nothing to stop us pushing on again with this young midfield.

Levy should never be the person making the football decisions. The solution to the problem you identified with some of our managers' choices turning out to be bad business was supposed to be bringing in the DoF. Indeed, we had ITK that Nuno has been pushing for Adama for some time and that Paratici and Hitchen needed convincing.

It's perfectly appropriate for there to be an executive serving as a check on the manager when it comes to recruitment, but when the manager and recruitment team are all singing from the same song sheet Levy shouldn't fucking step in and supplant their football judgment with his own. What's the fucking point of the DoF, otherwise?

But I don't think the ITK claimed Levy stopped the deal for footballing reasons right? I can understand Nuno and Fabio suggesting Traore will be a good addition to Nunos intended tactics for the season...ie footballing reason.

You make it sound like DLs rejection was due to him watching Traores YouTube videos and deeming him not worthy.

Read the bleat again ... it's not just one source.
It’s not necessarily what it says it’s the way it said. I have no doubt the basic facts are correct but the way the bleats are written shows a very anti Levy bias. It’s called spin - how you describe facts can have very different meanings.
For the record I’m not one of Levy’s biggest fans when it comes to him and transfers but if he feels selling Berwijn in order to spunk 45M on Traore is not great business I’ve got to say I agree with him.
The bleats could just as easily said that Levy had misgivings about selling Berwijn now, when we wouldn’t get a decant price, in order to pay so much for Traore who he may feel would be difficult to unload further down the road.
As I say you can spin facts anyway you want and I can’t help feeling that how Goat’s bleat today was written was influenced by opinion.

Chelsea's midfield versus ours is just embarassing on paper this season. Such a shame we don't show more ambition.
Money? I'm guessing that you mean more ambition rather than Chelsea level ambition but it's not been a terrible window - I think that we've done pretty well all things considered.

Talking of money, I know that this has been asked but I don't remember seeing answer - what happened with the ITK about there being an answer to how we've been able to spend? It seemed to infer investment but maybe I misconstrued.

Except the starters all have zero creativity, average first touch and get an age to pass. We don’t have young creatives coming through either. So boring for a spurs team.

The goat’s update says levy thinks we’re creating enough chances and doesn’t see the need for another attacker

The ITK was that Levy believes we are creating enough chances and that he is not willing to sanction Bergwijn leaving the club in order to generate funds for another attacker. In other words, he's exercising football judgment over and above the judgment of people who the club employ to make football decisions.

Thank fuck for that. Made it, right who's in charge of the pitchforks ??.

Catch up from page 7 for this shit show. I should've whacked another couple of quid on the parking meter and spent a few extra hours out.

Is the transfer rollercoaster going to go back up or has it really gone round and pulled into the station? I just refuse to believe that we won't see a deadline signing in the final hour, I can feel it in the air tonight. Come on Levy you Phil Collins looking tightwad, get your wheelbarrow out!

Usually we at least get some random info that Levy and Co are still at the offices or that an overdraft has been taken out.

Not even any of that this year? ?

I am suprised we are not pushing for a centre mid, we didn’t want to loan back Sarr and then tried to sign Moriba which fell through. So we clearly feel we are one short in that area
