Told DL leading the negotiation for Eriksen trying to tie it up this week.

And before anyone says anything everyone fully on board with this, and it makes a lot of sense as he has a very good relationship with both CE and his reps.

Absolutely nailed on!

I think i'm more excited about the Eriksen news than anything else so far this window. Great to see two ITKs linking us to getting this tied up ASAP.

For me Eriksen is a massive game changer for us next season, he's the type of player that will take us up a level. Massive, massive signing this one.

Well for me, getting Eriksen back would certainly go a long way to help soften the blow of missing out on Bastoni.

Think he'd be a fantastic bit of business.

Thanks for update @Trix and @Hercules

If he hadnt played for us before and I didnt have all the context of his history. If I saw this player in a newly promoted team playing the way he did in those 6 months I would be using every fibre in my body to beg the cloud gods to get us linked with him. I think the reason I'm quite calm is because it's Spurs, it's Conte and he said he wants to play Champions League.

Eriksen to Spurs is no brainer transfer

I don't see this as some sentimental transfer to just appease fan base - rather, our club needs a player like him in XI & squad.
Eriksen has already proven himself in PL to be back to his best.
And more so, he is a player that Conte has coached and won with...

Not doing this free transfer business would be a travesty...delighted that we are on it. Hope we sign him soon.

Awaiting episode 10 of AON documentary, Levy and Eriksen meet again to discuss his return to Spurs. Narrated by Tom Hardy. Riveting stuff.

I think the 6 month deal was mutually beneficial, they were on a slippery slope before he came onto the scene.

They should be glad to have had Eriksen when in reality they wouldn't stand a chance if it wasn't for the circumstances. It's better to have lost Eriksen than to not have had him at all.

Anyone else feel in a state of complete relaxation regarding our transfer business?

For the first time in a long time it feels like we actually know what we are doing and subsequently I'm happy regardless of who we bring in. Be it Bastoni, Torres or Lenglet I'm very confident that by preseason we will be left with a stronger team that Conte can work his magic with and make even better.

Good times are coming, just enjoy the ride!

But has there been any ITK/news on whether we're going for a striker in the mold of someone like Kane or more a wide player like Son who can cover if Kane needs to be rested?

Same, Conte wouldn’t have agreed to stay if we were gonna fuck around wasting time on players he’s not interested in.

It’s funny, for some reason I just assumed that he’d stay at Brentford. Not sure why, but just didn’t see him actually coming back here.

Thanks Herc. Maybe that'll be the announcement video, the lads in preseason training and then he comes running into the box from a corner, leaps like the salmon and blasts it past Hugo.
