I’m not overly concerned about missing out on Bremer, he always felt more of an opportunistic buy rather then the answer to our problems as he isn’t a LCB. I also wonder if this is why we haven’t yet confirmed Lenglet.

Spence on the other hand is disappointing but hardly surprising considering how long this has been taking. Di Lorenzo doesn’t look like the right alternative tho, if we are looking at Italy Molina would be the better fit for Conte IMO. Still, Frimpong for me (despite his injury) still seems like the best option. The biggest annoyance here is the HG issue as one would hope not getting Spence doesn’t effect our choice of AM for example.

Concerning how much panic is in the air when the window doesn’t shut for another 8 weeks.

It stems from the rumours that Conte wanted his incomings into the club for the Korean tour, this not happening then leads on to worries that Conte could become unhappy and possibly walk out.

Interesting that Paratici hasn't moved on from Bastoni yet. That must mean that Paratici is confident that Bastoni is willing to come, despite his agents comments in the media the last few weeks

The Spence prevarications could mean that Conte has decided to go in to the new season with Doherty as first string, backed by Tanganga as a young indoctrinated RWB, honed by Conte.

Not worried , I'm sure Fab has it under control. No idea why people still suggest nothing seems close. I mean we simply have no idea how close things are. I'm certainly bracing for a rabbit out the hat situation. Emerson came out of nowhere when we moved on from Tomiyasu so no reason the same can't happen with us moving from Spence. Same for Lenglet, we could get someone better but if he's the worst we get that's still a good signing. Also the medical can be done as quick as we need it to be. Happens all the time on deadline day and we did Richarlison super quick. Not that they will necessarily make the weekend flight but even to get them before we play Sevilla out there will be good.

I'd rather us buy no RWB than hit the panic button and sign a square peg in a round hole or someone who is not good enough. If we are gonna go down that route then we are better sticking with Doherty and Royal or putting egos aside and overpaying for Spence.

If there's a pot of money though, just sign Lenglet on loan and blow the rest on Hakimi. Fuck the CM!

We are having a Pavlovian response from the Levy only years aren't we? There hasn't been a shred of evidence that the new regime panics about anything. The most impressive thing about this window is how methodical everything appears to be done. agree that Doherty and Royal aren't ideal but given how much we have strengthened everywhere else we are in great shape. It takes effort not to enjoy this ride.

I really hate the idea of waiting and negotiating with Inter to determine the rest of our business, never ends well.

Fuck Inter!!!

Italian media backing up Trix’s post this morning that Bremer has his heart set on inter. They’ll sell Skrinrar to PSG; get Bremer, keep Bastoni, Martinez and fund Lukaku’s return. Very decent window for them. All funded by PSG who continue to operate within a different set of rules than the rest of football.

but but A&C said yesterday we were getting Bastoni and I believe him over any Italian media outlet as they arent even tier 1 for ban stick wielding and mother based debauchery

As things stand I think we have had a good window and have enough for next season.. however as Chelsea, Utd and Arsenal improve make acquisitions and improve their squads then in my view we have to be prepared to respond in the transfer market

C'mon, you've been here longer than most and should know by now how it is.
We seem to be working as hard as we can on our targets- the ones who come in, welcome, the ones who don't, r well next
