Am I right in thinking that he basically says we will be getting Willian and we also want to land Eriksen?

Seems that way. His Moutinho stuff doesn't make sense to me as first up it's 50/50 but Levy pissed Porto off, then it isn't happening because he wants a 'bigger' club, which also doesn't make sense if we supposedly came so close to signing him in the summer.

Danny Rose: Been awesome all year and now has reported interest from West Brom and Liverpool and apparently Brendan Rodgers loves the idea of bringing Rose in at LB and then keeping Enrique as a midfielder (or selling off Enrique).

I'm liking the murmurings that we are looking at the right sort of players, but there doesn't deem to be enough about getting shot of the dead wood (again).

Time will tell, I guess.

I read it as a selection of causally related time-slices. Something like...

1. We're still in for Moutinho
2. The deal may not go through as Levy is concerned about paying a larger portion upfront
3. If we can't arrive at a compromise solution with Porto, we'll move for Eriksen instead

If you wanted to be all creative about it you could suggest that we're using our interest in Eriksen as a bargaining tool with Porto. In my opinion this kind of thing only works if you are genuinely interested in the bargaining tool and are prepared to follow through (not in the poo sense).

I can't remember ever seeing the name before. I guess we'll wait and see how his stuff pans out and maybe start adding him to the RO once we get an idea of how solid his info may or may not be.

Links to anyone are hard to come by now compared to Harry's days. Much more tight lipped inside the club, they're wont be a huge amount of itk coming out and if there is, it'll be guesswork or just BS - we're very different now it seems.

Funny he should say that immediately after posting three pieces, isn't it? So is this guesswork or good old BS? The fact that he claims links are hard to come by now Harry's gone tells me that he's quite unaware that we had significantly less ITK under Harry than we did with Jol, Ramos and Comolli, certainly from the old guard. I don't think I'll be taking him too seriously.

Plenty of good young players with potential we should be looking at Kovacic,Ademilson,Wellington Nem,Ince for starters

Apparently Diame has a low release clause and has been linked with a Jan move (club unnamed), big upgrade on Livermore and Thudd ... would be a decent addition.

I've read that it is 7m. We could realistically sell THudd off for about that much and break even. Diame is a true box-to-box type who is comfortable on the ball, something we don't really have if Dembele goes down again.

I've had a chance to watch Ahmed Musa a bit recently. Holy Hell he's good.

Dual-footed winger, 20 years old, 9 goals and 6 assists for CSKA Moscow this season.

He's been linked to Chelsea/Arsenal, so I'd imagine it's only a matter of time before we are as well.

I see the lines are already blurring...

FWIW from all the sources i've been following (ok; twitter people that i've got some faith in) I was under the impression that the Moutinho boat had long sailed (PSG in the summer?), Eriksen only wants to go to one of the Spanish giants (wants/gets being different).

Willian's value can only have gone up since his sterling CL performances; ditto Isco. Surely GIANT CLUBS are more likely here...

So as ever TO MY NON ITK MIND it looks like we've missed the boat with a few classy types and young talents.

Then there's the usual parade of young British talent, ie. Ince, Zaha that we are surely at best, outsiders of 5 or 6 to get.

Sure, things change but anyone expecting Willian and Moutinho with a side order of Leandro Damaio and a Falcao / Llorente platter...
