I tend to believe the positive ITK. It makes too much financial sense for us to make at least one splashy signing (not talking Grealish) that I have a hard time believing Baldy won't get it done in the end. The real financial bogey at the moment is the naming rights deal - that's a deal that will be worth hundreds of millions of pounds. Don't underestimate how much the size of that deal could be impacted by whether a potential partner thinks Spurs are continuing to move onwards and upwards, or have peaked. Would you want to pay up if you thought Poch and some of our best players might flee? On the other hand, if we are attracting top talent, it seems to me the price tag goes up. Levy has to know this. Ergo, seems to me the more hopeful ITK is more likely to be on the money.
