I'll take "positive on many fronts" as a damn good reason to sleep soundly tonight. If Poch is happy - a man who doesn't usually overdo emotion (unless he's at home in bed of course ) - then whatever's making him happy may just blow away our tiny little minds.

Thanks @Hercules. Seems like there is a good buzz around the club.

I'm certainly excited for the window and the new season in our magnificent stadium.

Maybe he's had assurances over budget and commitment to certain targets

It could just be that he's been constipated and he's dumped an enormous turd in the toilet.

Whatever it is, it sounds positive

Could it be that he finally got Sissoko out of his system? No?

mayve he’s happy with the end of season Bentley Levy has got him this year (in lieu of having a positive net spend)

Appreciate the info Hercules but, the current interviews that Poch is giving doesn’t make him sound very happy and are a worry.

He sounds pessimistic at best.

Let’s hope that Poch is merely doing this as a front, although it would be nice to know a bit more as to what has made Poch happy.

Something has changed in the last couple of weeks. He seems slightly more detached from the club in his choice of words and body language.

We already know that certain players were only going to sign contract extensions if Poch stayed. I'd guess that Poch has verbally agreed a new deal which should mean several of our current players doing the same in the coming weeks. If Poch is signing a new deal and he's been looking for reassurances about finances then it's also positive news for the next transfer window.

Anything can happen, but I'd be surprised if Poch walked away from the club this summer

A new stadium and a summer of investment would give him one last (at least) shot at the PL title

After all his hard work, why wouldn't he have a go at it?

I shudder thinking about the last Bentley Levy brought, although that goal against Arsenal was class.

It's not even just that - Poch has a way of working with his squad to make them better and to believe. He rids the squad of those that feel they are bigger than the club. In view of this, which club would he go to where he would be afforded the time to operate in the same way? These so called 'bigger clubs' expect instant success and not the 2-3 years that Poch would want to implement and mould his philosophy and buy the type of managers and players in order to deliver this. Their fans also demand this. Spurs and Poch is a match made in heaven at the moment. That's until of course Daniel has his own visions of grandeur and conversely believes Poch isn't actually big enough for Tottenham! After all, he hasn't actually won anything either to date (other than the trophy of top 4! :cautious:).

Reckon it's a budget thing, setting the numbers, i.e. more for Poch, new contracts for our stars, pot for a reasonable transfer spend.

hertyid on some comments poch has made: It’s Poch putting pressure on levy ahead of the summer. Wouldn’t pay too much attention to it. I know there are already rumours of a marquee signing so I wouldn’t be surprised if Poch was demanding big money for transfers this summer. Time to step up to trophies. The transition is over.

You’re over analysing.

Who would be “happy” sitting in a room with bright lights shone in their eyes whilst having to take questions in your third language from the alumni of some of the most dubious of higher learning establishments, only to have them deliberately take what you say out of context?
