Ohhhh, so Harry's been telling Gio to play like a lethargic crack-head when given a chance - makes sense.

No gio can't cut in this league or the one below us
Shows what you know then, he did cut it for ipswich. xNo gio can't cut in this league or the one below us
what chance would that be then?? a few europa games with a load of kids? How many starts has he had in the prem with the full team around him playing in his position?Ohhhh, so Harry's been telling Gio to play like a lethargic crack-head when given a chance - makes sense.

Don't really think 8 games for Ipswich counts as 'cutting it' to be honest.

Listen boys! the manager most would like has been to watch the guy you all think is crap!! brilliant.
its only a discussion if you get involved! if you dont want to, then dont. xThe Gio discussion? Again? Really?
Exactly Happyspur!! Which is pretty much what i said in my first post on the subject.I don't think he's crap. I think he started his career by not taking his job seriously, thus getting bogged down in the London nightlife. By the last WC, I think he was ready to buckle down, after a great showing. But then circumstances got in the way.
1) Harry has made his mind up on him. And that is understandable. It's not like Harry got here last week. Gio had the window to prove himself and didn't
2) He isn't a wide player, but with Modric and VDV already occupying central roles, where people of their size aren't typically desired in this league, it's hard to see him in his natural position. It's not like Kranjcar is a wide player, but he's had to cope and done well. If he goes, we will wish him well for effort.
3) Ade and Crouch. For his natural role as a SS/#10 type, we've not had the type of strikers for him to best work with. It would seem to me that he and Defoe might be good partners. But big men, especially one who dominates his area like Ade, aren't good partners for Gio. VDV learned to run off Ade, but Gio just doesn't have that type of experience.
So not shit. Much like Bent, he's a really good player in a system not meant for him.
That being said, he was bought for Ramos and yet for the life of me I can't see how he would have been any good for Ramos' system. For Rodgers' system, he could be a solid player.
im not mad for him sp! just think he hasnt been given a run in the team. He was a youngster from a different country. a kid. Maybe he likes a drink or 2, but never playing 2/3 games in a row must be pretty frustrating, what must the lad think? People were banging on about falque, went to southampton and couldnt get in the team. I thought his stats whilst out on loan were ok, considering he was new to the team mates. like i said, i dont think he has been used properly. Lennon was out for ages and he didnt get a chance. Also like i said, the manager that most on here want to take over clearly see's something in him if the post about watching him was genuine.
