Why does everyone think that the manager is the be all and end all for signing players? It is a smaller part of the whole. Just look at Chelsea. They have bought 2 top draw players with no manager in place.

Just read online that Rodgers has returned from the US to have a meeting with his chairman.

I can't see Harry going.

Daniel Levy taking control of transfers is good! Friday signing and Harry going? I can only see the former happening!

Did we ever work out what POTL meant by TOTD?

My thinking is instead of Match of the Day, it could be Thatch of the Day which means we're signing Wayne Rooney.

Might have to settle for a place on the bench though with our strength in that area...

Announcing a major signing on the same day as the manager leaving will not happen.
All the hype of any signing would be lost with the melee around the media darling getting tin tacked, detracting from our achievement in capturing a huge talent. JV would have his day in the sun stolen by the HR circus. I am not an ITK so I do not know anything about the situation but even Spurs couldnt mess up that badly.
Or could we.....

You must have missed the part when it was Martinez who got them playing that exact style of football in the first place.

Oh, and if we replace Redknapp with Martinez/Rodgers we've gone downhill. There, I said it.

Thats probably because rodgers can see that gio is better than harry makes him seem. Quick, good shot and can pass the ball about like swansea have been this season.

Ohhhh, so Harry's been telling Gio to play like a lethargic crack-head when given a chance - makes sense.
