Thanks Herc. I presume CE here is Christian Eriksen. Someone mentioned they have a payment due this week.
You’d hope the banks squeezing one of their nuts would be painful enough to make them want to deal. Mind you, Levy seems to be squeezing the other one!

Skriniar latest:
Cannot go into any details, as extremely sensitive!

Milan change goalposts every day! We reluctantly agreed a certain arrangement on CE. Every time we think we are there, they throw another obstacle. From what I have been told, we have not officially bid! Will only do so once everything is agreed.

Midfielder not happening now. Unless something remarkable happens that DL just cannot refuse, and Josè accepts

This could go right down to the last couple of hours on Monday.
Although it would be great and I still think we'll get a CB in, even if it's not Skriniar, we have strengthened the key areas we needed to.

It's an Italian thing. Inter have got another five days to try to wring a bit more juice out of the deal so why would they sign any earlier?

can't help but feel both clubs won't find an agreement. hard to believe in it when the selling party is unsure about doing it. this constant change in stance screams discordance in leadership.

Won’t they need to sign another defender if they sell Skriniar?

Reaching an agreement on deadline day may not give them enough time to get a replacement.

Think there's also an element of pride at play here considering how the Eriksen negotiations went. Levy didn't accommodate them and they sure aren't going help us.

Cheers for the info Herc.
I can't get my head around the fact that we are being held to ransom by Inter for a player they don't particularly want, whilst there doesn't appear to be any other interested clubs. Levy usually comes out on top in negotiations of this kind, so I'm still expecting a bit of magic from the little man over the next few days.

If the Eriksen deal is anything to go by, these bumps in the road don't mean this won't get done.

We were negotiating with Inter for ages and it was always on-and-off but we managed to thrash out a deal at the very end of the window (28th Jan) as, ultimately, it was in the interests of both parties.

Hopefully this will play out in a similar fashion.

I think Levy agreeing to a payment plan is very accommodating considering the low fee they paid

If they do they'd have addressed that already and have something lined up and we're still five days off that.

I hope that with no central midfielder coming that means we will keep Alli.

Skriniar sounds like a matter of them squeezing the most out of the deal. I really hope nobody else gazumps us on this one.

Jose accepts is the key here!
Thanks for the info

Really consistent with other info we're getting, thanks a lot...

Not surprised by this. Makes sense. It'll go to the wire for sure eh?

I thought his style of play was not suited to Conte’s high line press. Hence he has not been starting (apart from last night)

Appreciate all the ITK info from all sources and what I’m about to say is no slight on them but rather against the club execs. Every year or transfer window it seems the same reasons come out for failed/unsuccessful transfers and it can’t be that every other club is doing exactly the same thing when it comes to Spurs. We always hear that “the selling club have moved/keep moving the goalposts”, or “they’re not happy with the payment structure”, or “they want £(x)m and we only want to pay £(x - 5)m, but we won’t sell any of our own fringe players for less than what we’ve quoted”.

I’m happy with the transfer business this season as it’s better than expected (never thought the Bale and Reguilon transfers would happen), but something always seems a bit off with Spurs in the way they seem to attempt to do transfers and leaving it too late to do anything if a transfer fails.
