Ok besides luka this season and maybe bale next season. What players would leave if Harry departed from Spurs. IMO none!!! Our players play for TOTTENHAM! Not HR!

deluded!
players at end of day dont buy into the im playing for such and such a club. a small minority like gerrard or a gary neville might but rest no chance.

they play cos they get good money and have a manager in charge of them that will feed their ego, play them week in week out and like them as a player. it helps obviously if you play for team with big following , a nice ground and good training facilities.
walker bigging up harry this week, im sure kaboul would. king would. vdv would.

whether people like it or not harry is best we had in 40 years which does not say alot for some of the shite we had in charge before .

bottom line he needs money more than ever now to get players in and to make us better thats the only thing for me.

The noise about Redknapp going is from the Redknapp camp. He now WANTS a new contract.

Levy will cave in and offer as its the only way to keep our players (barring Mourinho replacing him) Any other manager won't be able to stop our top players leaving (Not counting Luka)

I honestly don't see much correlation in players going or staying and Redknapp going or staying. Even players who have followed Redknapp around like Defoe & Kranjcar want to leave. What influences 99% players is money, whether they are playing & CL in that order.

It's not just "not including Luka", it's not including any player that decides he can get lots more conga, lots more glory or more game time elsewhere. I'm not saying some don't like some managers more than others but Footballers rarely give a fuck who manages them in terms of pure personality.

anyone else worried about harry going to chelsea, and as a result hazard having picked them as the reason he wanted to play for spurs was harry?

Nope. I've got my fingers crossed. It would be the kick start to the next phase of our development, and the next step in Chelsea's downfall.

Would prefer AVB to Rodgers though (he's more attainable too).

Agreed. Let's give them the manager that finished 4th and take the manager that basically got them 6th.

Would this be the same players who rebelled against him in the final weeks of the season?

The same players who moan about how boring training is because it's the same tired ideas every day?

Who moan about training at 4-2-3-1 all week, then getting thrown out to play 4-4-2?

So if another manager took over you think all our players would jump ship??? And you call me deluded!?

Yes Harry is a decent manager but if he leaves for another club then no problem. The players will stay as long as they are being looked after (wages) and enjoy their football.

Did VDV join for HR??? How about Sandro??? They did not have a clue about HR. They joined after LEVY sold them the ambitions of TOTTENHAM along with a nice pay packet.

Completely different projects though. We are a young emerging force that needs better tactics and mentality. Chelsea are a tired old club in need of a revolution, but who keep putting it off and opting for managed decline instead.

Apparently HR did know about Sandro and Rafa. It seems Harry had been tracking Rafa for a year but the fee had been too much. Levy then got a call from Madrid and we got a present. With Sandro, I was told Broomfield scouted him, but Harry had known about him and gave the thumbs up.

HR might have known about them but did they know about HR? Did VDV and Sandro join Spurs because of HR? NO!!!!

No they didn't. Rafa especially. He joined after what Levy spoke to him about and after his conversation with Johnny Metgod.

hahaha

so sandro is on verge of joining spurs and never once asked or heard anything about manager he would play for , hahahahaha? let alone talk to him??

same with VDV? you telling me he never heard of harry in 10 years of globetrotting from spain to germany to holland?? give me a break..

i agree they will have no choice to stay on and play but that does not stop them telling their agent to get them a move, that its time to move on..what if new manager comes in and dislikes kaboul or walker or vdv who have been great for us what would you think then?? bring back harry i bet... players are loyal and likes of walker only recently came out and said he owes harry alot for giving him his chance. levy selling ambitions hahah give me a break!!

the bottom line is it takes time to make a team and squad and harry is getting there. he has the nucleus of a top side and with 3 or 4 top signings thi summer spurs could be strong yet plonkers on here want him out the door cos he is only trying to get a good deal from himself to see him into retirement. its madness.

I thought Rafa said somewhere he had a conversation with Redknapp too. Might be wrong.

He probably did. Any player would. He wants to find out what the manager has planned for him. But, was his decision to join Spurs majorly based on the fact that Redknapp was boss?
