Well it could be interpreted in a couple of ways.

I actually think he means we will be active right up until it closes rather than it's all happening on the last day.

Possibly one earlier and two last day, just guessing here.

Well I think Palace’s record with and without him last season proves he is a game changer.
I think now Dembele is staying there is less urgency for a CM, although it would still be a good addition.
But between him, wanyama, Dier, winks and Onomah we’re pretty well covered for this season at least even with the fitness issues some of them have.
Sorry mawspurs, I hate disagreeing with you, but Wanyama (very injury prone), Dier (in my opinion a CB), Winks (not clear whether he's ever going to be the same player again) and an unproven Onomah just isn't good enough. I really hope we've got someone else lined up.

Am I hearing this right. EVERTHING going to the last day of the window?

That's a disgrace.

First of all, if we're planning on dragging on every deal until the very last day, then I agree with you.
Secondly, if we delay completing the Zaha deal Chelsea will nip in and wrap it up.
Last of all, we're definitely going to be in for a completely plucked from nowhere deadline day target again, aren't we.

I hope this doesn't mean everything is getting taken to the last day. I don't think my heart could take that.

Feel free to start a petition. I’m sure it will be a fruitless exercise as will whining on an Internet forum because the team you support are doing the thing they do every year with the exception of the window where they signed someone every day in one week just before they sold their best player for a world record fee.

I think I’d rather we wait.

Just to add some confusion, Martial won’t go away. Likely to be one or the other. There is another possibility out of Europe, that has a price tag of 50m. I doubt this one though.

Cheers Herc - I'm not fussed if it's Zaha or Martial as long as we get one of the two.

I know it is getting funny. But! We are talking about DL lol...?
Sorry for the funny. Not laughing at you Herc just laughing at the chaos and uncertainty with the time to figure out deals rapidly coming to a close.

Considering palace got no points literally zero when Zaha didn't play last season then yes, I would say that's prettymuch the definition of a game changer.

What's your definition of a game changer just out of interest?
He scored 9 goals and got 5 assist last season, in 29 games. That is his highest goal return of his career and when he plays he is the focal point for everything. From the times I have seen him he looks a very good dribbler but not necessarily a very clever player, he is very reactionary. I'm sure he would add something but a game changer for me is a world class talent. Bale is a game changer, Zaha is not. I don't see Zaha getting to that level ether. Im not going to clog up the itk thread with game changers, but I just feel some fans are maybe over estimating his abilities a little. Still, I will/would be happy to have him even if he wouldn't be my first choice.

Is parish the type to spend the money before he has it? I would say no, that being the case if we don’t sign Zaha by the end of next week then I think we’ll lose out on him and if we’ve dragged our feet on that transfer we’ll probably lose out on Martial too

This is both very exciting and very stressful as we could end up with no-one. Martial would be good tho.

The problem with it is there is a fair likelihood at least one of the 3 targets will go wrong with zero time to change targets or rectify the situation.

I'd prefer Martial, always have, but I do like Zaha. Surely if they both want us? Then it has to come down to Poch as to who he prefers. But he needs to tell baldy quickly as we could lose out on both.

I can 100% see this happening. I guess it comes down to how sure we are we can complete a deal for our desired target. With Levy at the helm and the amount of money we are talking about I'm sceptical.
